Chris is an outstanding martial arts instructor who has made a tremendous impact on my child in just four months of training. His ability to connect with kids and teach them discipline, focus, and respect is truly remarkable. From the very first class, Chris created a welcoming and supportive environment that made my child feel comfortable and excited to learn.

I found 1st Class Martial Arts and all the instructors are so nice, they teach them discipline to do their best, they guide them to go to the next level. If there are tournaments, they make them strive for success and to have fun. The kids and instructors cannot do it alone, they need their parents to support them because we’re a team.

Since day one I’ve been very impressed with 1st Class Martial Arts in its entirety. The staff are keen on instilling core values that extend well beyond class, they connect then correct, create a respectful yet fun atmosphere, share a wealth of experience, and carve out opportunities for parent involvement in class and as a 1st Class Martial Arts community. They genuinely care about their student’s well-being. When my child was out ill for a couple weeks, they checked in to see how everything was going even though absences make no difference to billing because it’s a flat rate/month. It’s been great for little one’s body awareness and perseverance and my child leaves class glowing and empowered. We love it here - highly recommend!

If your looking for a martial arts school for you child, look no further. My two sons have been students here since they were 4 and 7 yo. Now at 10 and 13 with lots of hard work the oldest has earned his black belt and the youngest is right behind him. Not only have they learned how to defend themselves if needed, but they have developed confidence, the ability to persevere, accountability and leadership skills, not to mention a high level of physical fitness. The First Class team is exactly that, first class. The owner, Mr. Calvin and Lead Instructor and Mr. Chris are very adept at working with and developing skills kids need to be successful now and in the future.
