Hands down, I absolutely cannot recommend this training facility enough! Doug and his team are truly knowledgeable and posses the highest level of skilled training you can purchase at a VERY REASONABLE PRICE! The staff is very patient in assisting students in areas they show difficultly in. Receiving training at this California approved facility you definitely receive quality licensed staff that are passionate in helping others grow and improve on their firearm safety and training. I completed my CCW course with Doug and I can’t wait to take additional courses with Doug and the rest of the team. Looking forward to the next “Red Dot” class. I attended, and proud to say, I completed my *Practice* Contra Costa Qualifier with 2nd Amendment Firearms Academy LLC. Their team of professional instructors gave me the confidence, the skills, and training to move on to look forward towards completing the Contra Costa Qualifier.
It began with a call to 2AFA. I felt very comfortable talking to Doug who helped set of my 16 hour training days. Day one of training was getting to know the laws and the preparation to be a CCW holder. The second day was range day. Doug, Ryan, Ryan and a couple other instructors were not there to give orders, they were there to train you in safety, handling of a firearm, and sharing their skills to shoot better.
I've never felt more confident than when I was with these instructors. They work hard to observe, analyze, and determine what you need to make better shots. These guys are the instructors you want. They care, they will do whatever they can to help you and you feel like you've know them for a long time.
You could not ask for a better group of instructors to help you gain the confidence, skills, and training to help you towards your Contra Costa Qualifier at 2nd Amendment Firearms Academy LLC. Thank you guys!

I took a 2 day (full 16 hrs) Class with 2nd A Firearms and it was great. Doug had real "life at threat" shooting videos and a testimonies so we could see real life action. He covered all the book learning we should have and show us how to shoot the right way. I grew up on a ranch and have been shooting for the last 40 years but I learned some bad habits that he showed me that I need to change. My accuracy got better. The class was so good that I offered to pay for my wife and daughter but they said they would rather take his 2-hour class instead.

Enjoyed and great learning session from Doug, Ryan and Oli. They were very informative, patient , supportive, and knowledgeable. Very professional. My friends and I had a great time learning the basics of the owning and properly using a handgun. I highly reccomend this company.

Doug, Ryan and the rest of the crew are amazing instructors. Very big on safety and don't have that drill Sargeant mentality. If they see something wrong they correct you and work with you to help you get better. All the staff were fun to be around and were willing to answer any question. These guys will make you more confident and make you a better shooter. I will only be be using them for my renewals in the future and I suggest you do to. 5 stars fellas

Big shout out to Doug, Ryan and the rest of the 2A team. They were all pleasure to work with and are all very knowledgeable and skillful. I attended the CCW training but I would highly recommend taking any class with these guys they are very safety oriented and very professional. The work done in the classroom was very informative and was very well taught. As far as range time goes I’ve been shooting for years on my own and thought I was solid shooter but after a day on the range with these guys I realized there’s always something to learn and ways to improve. I’m very grateful to have attended the class and look forward to taking future classes to continue to further my skills in shooting. To all of the 2A team thanks again and keep up the good work you guys are killing it.

Doug and the entire team at 2A are fantastic. The material in the classroom was very relevant and also carried forward to our hands on time. All of the instructors we highly knowledgable and incredibly patient. Passing this course is not easy but regardless if you pass of not, you be more competent and skilled when you are done. I highly recommend 2A!

Highly recommended!! Great class for CCW, even for someone who is very new to this, learned a lot and was helped greatly on getting skilled and using the firearm properly and safely.
