quite big library right in the heart of UC Berkeley, the architecture is fabulous. This library does not only provide books in shelf but also some exhibitions look like a museum, very interesting.

Too many conflicts posted about Doe library hours. 9-5 OR 9-2am.....which is it And not all entrances are usable during work hours.

A beautiful, classically vaulted, calm, main reading room that is surprisingly effective at inducing focus. No student ID required to enter, and there is usually plenty of space during off hours.

It's so beautiful. I heard wonderful things a oh the library collections, but couldn't go in as it's winter break. Unfortunate, but the view was worth it

Usually fairly quite. Connected to two to three other libraries that are restricted to students, unless you ask for a day pass.
