Throughout my life I have experienced many bridges from one stage of my life to another. The CTP program was one of the most transformative of those bridges.
CTP provided me with a stable, caring and professional learning platform from which I could see what a change to my life would look like. The program gave me the skills to feel that I was capable to enter into a career in the IT field. CTP was able to open up opportunities for me to interview with some of the companies that I may have never had an opportunity to interview with, which gave me a sense of how I needed to pick up my game, clean up my resume and generally put me into the mindset of moving into a professional IT career.
CTP also gave me a community of peers to learn and grow with. Each of us was experiencing some sort of complexity in life and we were each able to support and encourage each other along the way. I really valued the small class and the free and respectful way that we all interacted. My CTP cohort was a huge part of my support and growth team at the time.
And finally, the instructors and team at CTP were wonderful. Each demanded a professional level of work from me and shared with me professional tools and methods that I still use, twenty plus years later. The connection with the team at CTP made me feel that I was not walking along this daunting path alone, they understood the scale of the mountain I felt I was climbing.
Getting involved with the CTP program was one of the best decisions I have ever made for my life and taking control of it.
