The Bread Project (TBP) is an outstanding organization providing Baking and Food Service training to disadvantaged members of the Community. I did their course in 2016 and eventually went on to become the General Manager of The Halal Guys, Oakland and Food Services Manager at Community Foods, Oakland. Usha Gongal and her team provide a valuable and important service to the Local Community, I absolutely highly recommend this organization.

I came here one day as a volunteer and participated in a class. Everyone was so nice and the chef that was teaching everyone was amazing at cooking while still having the patience to help us learn. I'm so grateful they let me have that experience and I would say anyone who is thinking about taking a class should and anyone that is thinking about donating should as well. Keep in mind that they are not a huge non-profit and don't have corporate donors giving them millions of dollars. Every dollar counts!
