I’m really impressed with Optimus Learning School! The teachers are not only nice, but they also genuinely care about each student’s progress. The facility is always clean and well-maintained, making it a comfortable environment for learning. What stands out to me is their commitment to following up on every student’s homework, assignments, reading tasks, i-Ready, and Think Central activities. They even have an accountability sheet where each teacher signs off on daily assignments, ensuring that students stay on track. Overall, I think they are doing a fantastic job! Highly recommend!

My son is enrolled in the book club class at Optimus Learning School, and I am very impressed with the program. Instead of focusing on multiple-choice questions, the class emphasizes ‘how,’ ‘why,’ and ‘what’ questions, encouraging deeper thinking and written responses. I especially like that he has to write sentences for vocabulary practice, which promotes better understanding over simply selecting answers. Overall, I think this approach is very effective, and I strongly recommend Optimus Learning School.

Optimus Learning School provides an excellent environment for students to set higher goals for their education and find the aid they need to diligently complete their work. The dedicated teachers ensure that homework is completed on time, accurately, and to the best of the students’ abilities. The OLS after school program and summer program are great resources for any working parent, offering support for students and activities to stimulate their minds. The facility is clean and organized.

I enrolled my 5 and 6 year old for the summer program. My youngest daughter is very sensitive to new places/teachers and had a difficult first day of the summer camp because she was separated by her sister, had a male teacher and the entire camp was mainly upper elementary boys. When my daughter cried because she was scared and felt unsafe, they tried to console her but ultimately placed her in the front lobby with unlocked doors and easy access to the outside with "supposed supervision" because she was being disruptive to the rest of the classrooms. After 4 days at the camp, I picked up my child early because of her crying and when I went in to pick her up, she was sitting by herself in the lobby with no supervision. Other teachers clearly saw me in the lobby but did not approach me to question my presence even after 5-6 minutes. The main teacher at this site (MR JACOB - new hire) communicated to us that this was the best option at this time to put her in the lobby. They presented an option for a new teacher after the fact of complaining that the teachers left my child at alone in the front lobby. They clearly have a sign posted on their door noting the locked doors during class time except for posted hours where parents can pick them up. The administration notes that the locked hours are only for regular academic year and not for the summer program. The easiest entrance is located in the back and there are random people parked in the back, taking their smoking breaks and easy access to a main road.

This place is not for young children. Their is no scheduled outdoor play, field trips and the posted schedule is the only detailed schedule they have, which includes 2 hours of math... for a 5 year old! The sterile environment is good for families that want their kids to only do academic work with subpar tutors/teachers that seem inept at most. I regret not questioning the schedule, touring the facility and interviewing the presumed teachers for my kids. I erred on the side of trusting the reviews for this place and the pictures posted on their website. Maybe they are focusing their attention to the new site they have opened and have neglected the Placentia site.
