Yelling at deaf students for not answering at the pace of neuro-typical students, after being informed about their hearing disability, is unprofessional to say the least. It's disappointing that colleges give teaching degrees to individuals you don't understand how to address subjects like this ethically.

Dissatisfaction drives the majority of reviews across the internet, and while terrible experiences, unfortunately, happen and need to be vocalized, I just wanted to say a couple of good things.
1 - I’ve taken classes at all three colleges across the VCCCD and only about two professors weren’t as good. If you know how to pick professors (like through RateMyProfessor site), you will have a great experience, because some teaching styles don’t fit to all students. There are many professors who are passionate about their work and wish you to succeed. Not without hard work! Some majors have better profs than the others, but it’s important to communicate with your instructors.
2 - While it may be difficult sometimes to reach counseling office because of the influx, the counselors are very knowledgeable and willing to help. If you have questions about what classes to take in order to satisfy all GE/major prep requirements, they will know what to do.
3 - there are a couple of programs that will boost your chances of getting accepted to UC/CSU, but you need to keep yourself updated. Honors program is pretty cool in a way that it urges you to take interesting classes.

I'm HOH and after a recent viral story about a professor, I would never attend this school or contribute any money to it. All current students should leave as soon as reasonably possible.

Why does Michael Abrams still have a job teaching ANY students after berating a deaf student for… not hearing him?!
