A teacher sat on a student because the girl would not give her phone

I would give it a 0 star if I can. The price of Mandarin classes is affordable, but one of the teachers there doesn't use full Mandarin there. That teacher uses 50% Cantonese, 30% English, and ONLY 20% Mandarin. I don't understand, this is a Mandarin class? I didn't know about all this until my kids told me that their teacher speaks Cantonese more than Mandarin. My youngest daughter has been here since she is 7 yrs and now she is 11 yrs, she doesn't know how to write Chinese characters, she only speaks it because we speak it at home. This means she didn't learn a word from this school for 4 years!!!!!! I thought she was learning because her Mandarin-speaking level was upgraded, but it turned out it was because she watches a lot of Chinese dramas, but didn't learn how to write a single word. My eldest daughter also didn't learn any Mandarin from this academy. She writes and speaks it but she said most of the words she learned were from the dramas too. OMG, I'm so angry right now. She also said that her teacher teaches the wrong characters and she's also placed in the WRONG class. She should be in the advanced class, but they placed her there. I just got to know this recently and figured out I wasted so many years here for nothing... Parents, please don't go to this academy. It sucks. One of their teachers doesn't even teach and many of the students from that class also didn't learn anything. I don't recommend this place.
