Garret Hess and his instructors have a passion for aviation and for teaching and you get that impression from the very first phone call. I am currently working on my private pilot certificate with my CFI Jason who is amazing. They are extremely accommodating and work with your schedule and your personal goals which makes for a very pleasant experience. Jason is extremely patient and answers my heap of questions with each lesson. I'm already planning on pursuing my instrument and commercial ratings with Jason after my PPL and couldn't be more pleased with my experience at FunOutside Aviation. If you have a passion for aviation, look no further. The best way to get a feel for how they work is to do the demo flight ($150) for an hour on the ground and an hour in the air where you get hands-on time flying some of the maneuvers.

My wife and I are getting our private pilot license training through FunOutside. We were first drawn to this flight school because their prices are MUCH lower than other's, about half as much as most (very important consideration for a broke young couple)! We quickly found that this lower cost did not in any way translate to lower quality instruction or equipment. The owner, Garrett, along with the other flight instructors, James and Ben, are a wonderful group of professionals who are truly passionate about aviation and passing that passion on to their students. If you're looking for a flight school, look no further! Book an "Intro to Flying Special" to try them out. There's a $99 option but the $150 option is an incredibly good deal for what you get. You won't regret it!

Fun Outside Aviation is great! This school is very reasonably priced compared to schools that are nearby which is a big plus .
My 16 yr old son who wants to be in aerospace engineering is very happy that I enrolled him here.

My son’s instructor, Mr. Senai is a knowledgeable and patient works 7 days a week and is passionate in everything he does. You really can't go wrong with him and this school. The owner Garrett Hess is very responsive and will explain everything in details

I have been working on my private pilot's license at FunOutside, and I can say that this flight school offers an amazing environment to learn to fly in at an affordable price! All of the instructors are very knowledgeable, patient to explain concepts and have a passion for aviation. There is a wide variety of different aircraft to rent and train in, all of which are kept in amazing condition. Scheduling lessons is super easy and accommodating - you just choose to fly whenever you have the time to! I highly recommend learning to fly at FunOutside Aviation!

I have been interning at FunOutside for about three weeks now and I can say already that it has been one of the best decisions I’ve made this summer. Even with no prior knowledge of aviation, learning about airplanes is made simple and intuitive. The environment is very hospitable and there is no pressure to learn everything as soon as possible, everything can be done at your own pace. I was even granted a flight experience and got to fly myself! Overall definitely the best place to check out when starting your aviation journey.
