I had the wonderful opportunity to observe a few different GAIT riding lessons, and I left the ranch so very impressed with the staff and volunteers! Their interactions with each of the children was respectful, engaging, and individualized. Being a former professional educator of 34 years (a principal for 23 years) I know what good instruction looks and sounds like, and what I observed that day was extremely impressive! The students enjoyed themselves and actively participated in each part of the lesson. The lessons had clear goals and were well-planned. The staff provided each parent/guardian feedback on their child's efforts and progress at the end of each of the lessons. I would strongly encourage people who desire an educational and enjoyable experience of this type to go and check out Green Acres Interactive Therapy. I have a feeling that you will be as impressed with this program as I was during my visit.

My sister has been riding since she was 8 and loves horses. This is her 3rd equestrian therapy facility she has been to over 20 years and this has been the best by far.
She has been riding at Green Acres for over a year now and absolutely loves it. The staff is incredible. They are not only friendly but they are caring and supportive of their riders.
Her lessons are her most favorite thing to do each week. She adores her horse and talks about her all the time.
The horse is gentle and patient with her and gives her a wonderful ride each week.
We truly enjoy everything about G.A.I.T. and plan on continuing here for as long as we can.

I have observed several of these lessons and found the people assisting to be extraordinary. I watched the entire lesson and saw so much joy in the riders and their parents. I also purchased one of the horses used in the program for my personal use. Both very good experiences.

I've been volunteering here for 10 months now and I was welcomed with open arms. Everyone is so friendly, it's super hands on and I always enjoy my time here.
A heads up: Saturdays are usually the busiest day and Mondays they are closed ?.
