I have trained at gyms all over the world and Gracie Barra Rohnert park has been one of the best experiences I have ever had. One of the main reasons I love it is that there are DOZENS of women who train here which is refreshing in such a male dominated sport. I feel safe and supported training here due to the focus and presence of the teachers and the community. There are also many Professors and Coaches so I get to enjoy a variety of teaching styles. The environment is clean, respectful, and very inspiring!

I started training here 2 yrs ago as a 50+ yr old beginner with no grappling background. All the instructors and coaches are knowledgeable, super cool, and really want to help you grow in the art and grow yourself. That attitude trickles down to the students as well and I've met some really awesome people from all walks of life. BJJ isn't supposed to be easy but if you stick with it, especially with the teaching staff at this school, you'll be amazed and how much you'll learn and grow.

It’s obvious early on that the instructors enjoy teaching and being around each other and their students. It feels safe and supportive. They are as enthusiastic for success of their competitors as they are with someone walking in just to try something new. The team is very supportive, and understanding of potential apprehension when trying a martial art for the first time. Highly recommend. GBRP is a clean, well managed jiu-jitsu gym perfect for all ages and skill level. My son started as soon as he turned 3. Professor Rich and Coach OC are fantastic with the kids. With no previous experience, I joined shortly after and I love it. I look forward to many years of training at GBRP.

My boys have been taking lessons here for over 2 years. They have learned a lot while having fun. Coaches are amazing, caring and patient with the kids. Absolutely would recommend this place for anyone interested in learning jujitsu.

I started training a few years ago, I was reluctant due to age and other commitments. I am so glad I went and stuck with it. I’m a 50 year old blue belt and I’m feel great after every class. Great academy because of the professors and the positive attitude they instill in us. Supportive environment because of the best group of folks you’ll ever meet. You won’t be sorry you came in.
