I could not recommend Coastline Academy more it is the best practice to learn how to drive I’ve ever received in all my years of trying to learn. I could happily say I’ve learned a lot especially from my instructor Donnell H. he will teach you the techniques the DMV is looking for on your test and even perform a mock test to get you ready before your behind the wheel. That is such a wonderful way to learn and I am thrilled and pleased to say that I did this training and look forward to taking those techniques and lessons with me for my life. If you are going to book a lesson Donnell is an excellent instructor you will learn so much!

I would never recommend Coastline Academy. They are not clear that all of your pre purchased items will expire in one year, even in California. Then when you call to inquire they try to sell your credits back to you at a reduced price, what a joke. My child also reported the material was boring and he learned more from reading the State provided DMV handbook. I will find a better and more trustworthy company for training my other children.

My daughter had three 2 hour sessions with Adrian from Coastline Academy and he exceeded all expectations! He was prompt, patient and made her feel very comfortable all while learning and improving her driving skills. I can’t say enough great things other than the scheduling was so fast and consecutive that it was almost un real! I would highly recommend for students in our area to choose Coastline and Adrian!

I saw mixed reviews on the drivers ed course and I would like to say my experience was mainly positive so far. The information is provided in a manner that is easy to digest and their course is very organized. Their shipping was pretty fast for me too. After completing the drivers ed course, the certificate was mailed to me in three days even though I chose the free shipping which estimated it to be 2-3 weeks.
I haven't taken the permit test, so I cannot say that they provided everything for me to know on the test, but overall it was a good experience under Coastline Academy. I will be doing practice tests from Coastline Academy provided and other platforms in addition to the course to prepare.

My instructor told me that the car doesn't have an emergency break because it's the newest automatic model. The DMV evaluator was in shock when I answered her and of course I failed that question.

They contacted me just hours before my first lesson which I booked way in advance and said they cancelled it. Not happy with this school.

Literally emailed me this the day of my driving lesson. I booked this time month's ago, and i have my behind the wheel test tomorrow. They didn't even email me a few days before to let me know, but they emailed me 3 hours before my lesson. I even told them this was my lesson behind the wheel so i expected them to actually show up and not cancel. Complete waste of money and time.

Their site indicated that they had lessons available and so I paid $559 for 3 lessons. For about a week thereafter, their website stated that they had no available lessons. It then said that I could book a morning lesson about a month later! What kind of driving school doesn't offer any evening classes?! Their helpline doesn't work either - it always drops your call after putting you on hold for about 10 minutes. In sum, Coastline provides terrible service and is a complete waste of money... Really disappointed.
