Fleming's Fundamentals of Law was my prep program for the California First Year Law Student's Exam (FYLSX aka Baby Bar) and the California General Bar Exam. The program has comprehensive lectures, outlines, and attack sheets for answering any essay exam. The courses have writing assignments with feedback and cover the most challenging essays tested. I passed both the Baby Bar and, four years later, the General Bar my first time. Even during law school, I used all of Fleming's Exam Solutions all four years. Fleming's products gave me a structured approach to each subject and a study method that I used through law school. Fleming's lectures are engaging, humorous, and has guest lecturers who are the premier in their field. FFOL gave me everything I needed to be successful. Hazel, FFOL's GM, is positive, encouraging, and was so giving of her time to listen to my needs and to help me make a decision that was going to be the best plan for me. FFOL and Hazel want their students to pass - and I did!

I am so pleased that I chose Flemings to prepare for the Baby Bar (and now all my other classes). Without having a law background, I felt pretty intimidated in a class with plenty of legal assistants and paralegals by my sides. About 6 months before taking the Baby Bar, I compared all the programs by price, reviews, and materials. Flemings made the most sense for how much I got for my dollars. It wasn’t until I actually completed the Baby Bar Review Course and the Writing Workshop that I realized how much more material existed outside of my classes and additional outlines I had purchased in the past. I used the Flemings criminal law review to prepare for the Baby Bar, but timed it for right before my course final. Finishing first in my class that term, and passing the Baby Bar six weeks later made me a believer. As for the Writing Workshop, I took it three weeks before the Baby Bar and it totally changed how I structured and wrote my essays. I guess the Flemings way was the right way because one of my essays scored an 80 (this is an excellent score if you’re not familiar) and was chosen by the State Bar to publish as an example on their website. Passing the Baby Bar on my first attempt was really important to me, and I am certain that my Flemings prep was the secret to my success. My only regret is that I wish I started using Flemings study aids on my very first term of law school. If you want an easy to follow, easy to understand prep course that works, look no further. Thank you Flemings, I KNOW your program is the reason I am doing so well.

I have purchased and attended both the Baby Bar and General Bar Tutorial Series at Fleming's. With the aid of the materials and lecture videos, I passed both at one-shots of Baby Bar an General Bar Exams.

There is no doubt, that Fleming's Bar Review materials are solid and up to date with the most recent changes of the Cali bar exams. A hardcore bar candidate with sufficient amount of work done and shown to the essay graders will lead to an immediate success, which will become the introduction of the professional world of law in the shortest amount of time.

If you are thinking about enrolling in Professor Fleming’s Bar review course, but feel hesitant (as I was before I enrolled), I can tell you that I probably would have failed the bar exam if I had not taken this prep course. ABSOLUTELY worth the time and money!

I took the California Bar exam on February of this year, shortly after finishing Professor Flemings’ two-month bar review course. Of course, I also applied myself fully and studied day and night. Still, this course gave me a priceless insight and helped me direct my efforts into the right areas and empowered me with strategies.

If you are reading these reviews, you probably have finished law school and, surely, you spent lots of time and energy doing so. Now that you are thinking about taking the Bar exam, and knowing how low the passing rate is (only 31% passing rate on the February 2019 exam) you might be considering enrolling in a prep course. If you debating between taking an online Bar review course, as most law students do, or attend Flemings’ course, my advice is to go for the latter.

Professor’s Flemings provides outlines, past Bar questions, model answers. But, most importantly, he helps students learn how to approach and manage each part of the Bar exam.

I followed Professor Flemings’ strategies and I passed the Bar on my first try.

I am writing this review because I feel truly grateful for having had the opportunity to attend Professor Flemings’ course and want others to know how fantastic and life changing it is.

Thanks to Fleming's Fundamentals of Law, I was able to pass the July 2018 California Bar Exam. I had previously taken the exam using an online prep course, but I fell short in several subjects. Professor Fleming's friendly-yet-disciplined in-person lectures, graded practice essays and performance tests, and easy-to-understand study materials provided me with a very structured and holistic approach to preparing for and taking the bar exam. By the end of the course, even though there was a vast amount of content to review, I was confident in my ability to tackle any subject that might appear. I highly recommend Fleming's to anyone preparing to study for the bar exam.

Excellent course. Professor Fleming did an outstanding job preparing me for the FYLSE (Baby Bar). The writing critiques were a great help. There is a lot of material and Fleming's Fundamentals puts it in an orderly format needed to effectively study and prep for the test. One must put in the work but the course had everything I needed to pass. I plan on continuing to use Fleming's materials for the duration of law school and will enroll in his Bar prep course as well!

Update after taking the general bar exam. I passed the Bar on the first sitting. The Fleming's course gave me the substantive law that was needed and the practice essays that that were submitted for critique were invaluable. The Fleming's team was also prompt to reply to any questions that I had and helped to clarify the law a various occasions as I studied MBE's and needed clarification.

Fleming's Fundamentals of Law was instrumental in helping me pass the bar. Professor Fleming has a knack for keeping his students entertained and accountable! I followed his lessons to a T, including the checklists and it made taking the bar for the second time much more manageable. The course also has time focused to performance tests. I believe the strategies they taught to tackle the performance exam section of the exam were game changing, as I became much more efficient in my process of reviewing the provided law based on the prompt. Consistency in practice, along with full engagement in the program helped me immensely. Again, Professor Fleming's teaching style along with his plan for success cannot be beaten, so long as you follow the plan! I couldn't have done it without him.
