Little Sycamore Canyon Trail _ Serrano Ridge Trail _ Camarillo Canyon Trail.
This route is about 5 miles and takes about 2 hours.
It is very scenic and allows you to enjoy nature.

For hiking, this is about as scenic as it gets. Based on my experience doing Boat Road Trail (parking is free, but in a neighborhood), I would definitely come back to check out other trails in Laguna Coast Wilderness Park. It was a short, sweet trail (2 miles each way) with mostly rocky terrain and a good balance of going up and down. Laguna Ridge has a nice lookout spot, as does the Joseph Sweany Bench. Gorgeous views of Laguna / Newport with a side of exercise! I'd bring visitors who want to hike (but don't do it regularly) here for sure.

Nice nature center right off the 133 and you exit on Nix Nature Center road which comes up quick. Large parking lot which costs $3 to park. Good hiking and mountain ?️ biking ?‍♀️ trails start here. Clean bathrooms.

Visited the Nix Nature Center for the Hawks and Raptors educational event. Very friendly and informative staff! The Center itself is beautiful and a great starting point for many hiking/biking trails. They host many free events throughout the month, so check out their website! (Note, the events may be geared slightly more towards children, but they are still enjoyable and informative for adults.)

Parking is $3 but if the lot is full, they'll direct you to park along the dirt road and it's free.

I've been wanting to do this loop hike for years and finally did. I parked at Nix Nature Center (unfortunately it was closed the day I was there) and paid the $3 fee. They have paper maps available at the pay station if you need one. Then took the Barbara's Lake Trail to the Edison Trail, then Ridge Top, down Black Jack (steep!), through the parking area at Dilley Staging Area, and The Lake Trail back to where I started. In mid-October, the weather is great. You see a lot of houses, roads and power lines, but it's still a nice hike.

I love these trails... You can take your time and enjoy spectacular views or power walk and get a great workout! I prefer to power walks, great upgrades and downgrades with somewhat level recovery areas.

Great, peaceful hiking trails. We hiked 3 miles round trip and thoroughly enjoyed the tranquility and the scenery. Well maintained trails, and friendly employees at the nature center.
