Kind and generous David is your host at this celebration of the many flavors of tea. It was unusually crowded the day we went but note that you can book a private tasting and have all the time you need to relax and get the info and flavors and cultural background.

Very surprised that it's taken me this long to write a review. I have been ordering tea from The Phoenix Collection for years now. I drink David's collection almost religiously as I find it very difficult to find as fresh and genuine tea. I am yet to visit the museum, am planning on doing this soon, but I strongly recommend taking the time to look through the extensive collection of teas offered on their website, and you will be very happy with what you receive. Fast replies, excellent delivery, well packaged, you get what you pay for!!

Open on Saturday's from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm for tea tasting of fine teas in extensive varieties at no cost. Open all other days by appt. only. This is a very special place founded by tea impresario, David Hoffman. Plan on taking time to relax, enjoying a traditional Chinese tasting and hearing historic tales of tea culture. For the tea drinker or novice, this is a once in a lifetime experience!!!!!

A truly impressive collection of teas, particularly dark teas (hei cha) and pu'er. The founder & owner, David Lee Hoffman, is an incredibly gracious and knowledgeable host and teacher with many stories to tell. A wonderful place to relax and learn!
