I moved from out of state and went to the office four times for my Ebt card. I filled out the paperwork and submitted the documents, including the house contract and driver's license. After that, 10 days, I did the interview for over an hour and told them to send it to me when they got it. A week later, I got the documents and they were different names. So I went to the office and told them again without an apology and got an autograph that the name was wrong. How many documents did I submit? It's been almost a month. In the state where I lived before, I did the interview the day I visited and got the food stamp within a week. The Auburn employees were almost black. I was so disappointed to move here in Alabama. Few people are basically nice here. Also, they were too slow to handle their business and ignored me as an Asian. I could feel it. From the way they looked and spoke. And if you need any documents, you can let me know at once, so why do they call me every time? I'm so tired. The interpreter also told me to give a short answer without introducing himself. Last time, the Chinese interpreter... I couldn't understand then, and I was frustrated and angry. I got another call today, raised my voice, and They hung up. Now I'm really disappointed and tired.

Was there to get information about garbage pick up. And I got the information that I needed. No hassle was in and out less than fifteen minutes.

I had to call DHR for an elderly friend regarding his EBT assistance, they were very nice and got me the form he needed out in the mail the same day. It was worth the little wait.

Going through the court system was the most frustrating part of my life and I'm very glad to say it's over with praise the Lord. The folks at Dhr tried their best to do the right thing and they seemed like compassionate and caring people from start to finish. At first I thought they were out to get me but as the process played out in real time, I quickly learned that they just wanted the best for the kids. The attorney who represented Dhr in court was sharp as a tac and was probably one of the chief reasons the kids ended up in the right place. The social workers seem overworked and underappreciated so I commend them for the work that they do. I met a lady in the front office who said she lost family members in the Tornado that hit Beauregard... I'm sorry to hear that and will keep praying for you. Thanks for your kindness.

If it would give me an option for no stars/ negative stars that’s exactly what they would get! Just Throw the whole building away at this point. ELAINE is a horrible person and makes her own assumptions on who she thinks is “guilty” of an accusation. A child informed her of sexual abuse and she stated she could do nothing about it on top of calling my kids liars. I guess she went to school at university of Phoenix bc there is not one thing professional or remotely “by the book” with her. She should be fired. No one should ever call a child a liar especially when they are trying to tell you what has happened to them. This is exactly why so many kids do not open up to their abuse and the abuse just prolongs until the child KILLS themselves or someone else bc no one will help them. LEE COUNTY DO BETTER. it’s supposed to be about the safety of the CHILDREN you are PAID to PROTECT, not who gives you the better sob story. And in the end you are not a judge. You should go by FACTS AND PROOF ONLY. if you ever have ELAINE as a case worker, ask for a new one bc she will try to throw your kids in the system without ANY PROOF and goes against every “rule” dhr has with talking to kids/families.

I have never had a bad experience, I have had to call several times and they are always professional and nice to me on the phone. They actually listened to my concerns and answered all of my questions. I appreciate their hard work. Thank you Lee county DHR. I appreciate the hard work you all do for the Lee county residents.
