JUMP Reading has been such a blessing for our family. This program has been amazing for my son! The teachers are wonderful and so patient, and Lydia is an incredible human with a passion for helping these kids thrive in life. My son now reads for leisure in his free time. Even typing that out feels surreal. My only regret is wishing we had started sooner, as it could have saved my son years of frustration!

I highly recommend JUMP Reading for any child with dyslexia or experiencing struggles learning to read.
When we first noticed at home that my son was struggling, his confidence level was low and he was not his usual happy and smiley self. He couldn’t understand why it was easy for everyone else to read and he just couldn’t get it. The only reasonable explanation for him, in his own words was “mom, I’m stupid”. He is actually very smart and seeing his self confidence crumble was very hard as a parent. That’s when I knew that we needed to do intervention quickly, faster than the services we could get at the school. It took about 8 months to get him tested, diagnosed and under an IEP at school.
I’m so happy I stumbled across Jump Reading by month 3 of us looking into options and he started his lessons right away.
Lydia, Jump Reading Founder, is extremely knowledgeable in the topic and she understands the repercussions that dyslexia can have in a child’s confidence. She is empathetic, always available and her team of instructors are fantastic. Amanda, one of the instructors that has been working with my son is patient, accommodating to the child’s learning style and able to keep my son engaged hence moving forward through the learning plan.
I was ecstatic to see the progress that my son accomplished in a few months working with Lydia, Amanda and the Jump Reading team. A year and a half ago this seemed impossible and a mountain in front of us. Today I can say that my son’s reading skills and confidence have both dramatically improved. I am extremely grateful with the Jump Reading team as they are having a positive impact on my child’s life!?

Finding JUMP Reading was the best thing I could have done for my son. He has made so much progress learning to read with the help of Lydia and her crew. My son loves his sessions and looks forward to them. Lydia has also been amazing at helping me understand dyslexia as well as helping me better advocate for my son at school.
