A Life-Changing Journey at I AM University of Spiritual Psychology in Mt. Shasta
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I had the incredible privilege of attending the full University program at the I AM University of Spiritual Psychology in Mt. Shasta, and I can confidently say that it has transformed my life in ways I never thought possible. I wholeheartedly recommend this program to anyone seeking personal growth, spiritual enlightenment, and a profound connection with themselves and the world around them.
When I first discovered this university, it was a leap of faith for me to embark on a journey that seemed outside my conventional way of thinking. I had been an oncology nurse and supervisor for 12 years. However, from the very beginning, I felt a warm and welcoming atmosphere that immediately put me at ease. The faculty (especially Joa) and staff were not only knowledgeable and passionate about their subjects but also genuinely caring and supportive. They created a space that allowed me to explore and expand my consciousness without judgment or limitations.
One of the most remarkable aspects of the program was its affordability. The I AM University of Spiritual Psychology has a deep commitment to making education accessible to all who seek it, which I found truly commendable. The value I received far exceeded the financial investment I made, and I am forever grateful for that.
The impact of my time at the university extended far beyond the academic realm. The teachings and practices I learned have had a profound effect on my relationships, especially with my family.
The spiritual insights and principles I integrated into my life allowed me to foster deep connections, heal past wounds, and approach interactions with love, understanding, and compassion.
The transformation I experienced in my relationships has been nothing short of a blessing, and I owe it all to the wisdom and teachings imparted at this remarkable institution.
Additionally, the location of the university in Mt. Shasta added an enchanting dimension to my experience. The city itself is simply magical and beautiful, with its breathtaking natural surroundings and serene atmosphere.
I often found solace in the serenity of the mountains and the pristine waters that flow from beneath them. Taking a moment to indulge in the remarkable water of Mt. Shasta became a cherished ritual, replenishing my spirit and invigorating my soul.
Even after completing the program, I continue to return to the I AM University of Spiritual Psychology for further growth and learning. Whether attending courses in person or participating in virtual sessions, the wisdom shared by the faculty and the supportive community always leave me feeling inspired, rejuvenated, and empowered.
Once again, my journey at the I AM University of Spiritual Psychology in Mt. Shasta has been an absolute blessing. It opened my eyes to new perspectives, allowed me to embrace profound personal growth, and transformed my relationships in the most extraordinary ways. I wholeheartedly recommend this program to anyone seeking a life-changing experience, and I encourage you to take a moment to visit Mt. Shasta, a place of undeniable magic and beauty. Trust me, you won't regret it.

I have met Joa, the founder of I AM University several year ago
via a mutual friend. Joa has opened my eyes to the incredible potential of energy healing for both, my emotional and physical well being. Working with him also catalyzed a huge period of deep change in my life that led to shedding some toxic relationship patterns and finding self love on a much deeper level for myself. His sessions are profound and filled with love and light.
Joa’s work is pure magic! He is an incredible healer.
I cannot recommend his sessions highly enough.

I attended I Am University about ten years ago, earning my degree in Coaching and Spiritual Psychology. My experience over the year of the training was like a breath of fresh air to my soul.
I had been looking for a program similar to University of Santa Monica, and was even considering traveling that far south to attend. Instead, I found a similar program right here in beautiful Mt. Shasta!
I was very impressed with director Joa Janakoyas’ professionalism, and commitment to each student’s personal growth and transformation, as well as gaining practical skills in helping others.
I found Joa to be generous in spirit and heart, and of high personal integrity in all my interactions with him. My experience was that he “walks his talk” in terms of his own transparency, evolution and soul development. With a deep commitment to principles of truth, he helped students overcome and transcend their limiting, self-imposed boundaries.
I also had a series of coaching sessions with Joa. I found him to be immensely supportive to my growth, and deeply skilled in helping me see and overcome long-held patterns that were holding me back.
Although the degree I earned is not yet “accredited”, I wasn’t concerned about that. I wanted actual transformation, and actual ability to help others. I gained that, and more.
I especially looked forward to the breath work exercises every day. Every day I learned to connect more deeply with the truth of MY being, to listen and trust MY self. I learned about self-love, self-care, and raising my own frequency in order to be more joyous, and more able to help others.
Joa’s teaching and coaching methods helped me to take full responsibility for myself, giving up all “victim” thoughts about my life or ability to change it. I learned that whatever I was experiencing, I had the power to change it. I learned to face some of my deepest feelings, and accept myself at even deeper levels, with compassion and forgiveness.
I found myself changing with how I interacted with family and friends. People seem to confide in me more after the training. They seemed to sense I accepted them as well.
I found myself becoming more kind to myself. I accepted myself more fully, and felt more worthy. I saw my own patterns and cleared them -- especially the one of me over-working as a way to feel more loved or worthy.
Under Joa’s leadership, the group became very close in working together over the year; we built a true support community. I looked forward to going to classes as my therapy, my exercise, my attunement to myself – I loved being there every moment. We used whatever was arising in our daily life experiences as our grist for work.
I can heartily recommend I Am University, and Joa Janakoyas, Founder / Director in helping transform one’s life for the good. I experience Joa as highly skilled at what he does, and deeply committed to personal and planetary transformation.

I have taken several classes at the I AM University and just loved every single one of them. JOA has such amazing and vast knowledge combined with lots of wisdom, compassion and a good sense of humor. He has help me so much on so many levels. I am so very grateful to him.

Over all I was highly unimpressed. Maqua's work was good however I feel she held back often. Joa, the founder and president of the University acted very inappropriately towards a fellow student. We were in a weekend seminar and he singled out one of the female students telling her how beautiful she was and overly complementing her. He actually paused while looking at her and a massive feeling of uncomfortableness swept over the room. I looked at the other female students that were joining on video and could clearly see that they too were highly uncomfortable, not just the student receiving this energy. This is a MAJOR deal and a big no no for someone in such a position and married. I left that day no longer respecting him as a teacher or mentor. This is why men get a bad rap. I hope he finds his way and atones for his behavior.
For a year and a half years I observed their behaviors after this. Both Joa and Maqua proved to be profit based even though they preach about spirituality and helping the community. All in all their words don't match their actions and my words cannot express my disappointment.

Aug 2020 Maqua led incredible drum circle. $15 for locals and $25 visitors. Spent over 2hrs with us. Numerous healers came to circle to participate and shared their experiences. Could literally feel energy in air before even began. Highly recommend, amazed there aren't reviews, loved it and will come again next visit. ?
