Mr Richie is amazing! Both of my kids go there and love it. My son goes in the weekly STEM classes for 3 years old and my daughter 4 has a semi private classes so she has a lot of opportunities to have a one-on-one with such amazing teacher. We started taking these semi private classes because she disliked letters/numbers exercises. Now after just a few short months she loves it! Mr Richie loves what he does and makes it fun!!! Absolutely recommend Standout Learning!

We sent our 2 children to Standout Learning for test prep this year. We had prior experience with another downtown test prep center. Standout Learning is heads and shoulders above the other center. We feel that Richie and his team genuinely care about our child's progress. They are also extremely accommodating with our needs. Our older child was tutored by Erica B. She was absolutely fantastic and perfect fit for our older child. After 2 sessions, we noticed a significant improvement in our older child's writing, specifically in descriptive essays, time management and approach to test taking. Our younger child was tutored by Lisa G. She was another terrific tutor who was extremely patient. We feel that our younger child learned a ton more with Lisa than with the teachers in school. Overall, we strongly recommend Standout Learning to any parents who are looking for a top notch test prep or tutoring without paying an arm and a leg.

This is a hidden gem! My toddler daughter has taken Preschool Prep for the past year and absolutely adores it - and so do we. Mr. Richie is a calming, patient and warm teacher who my daughter trusts and listens to in rapt attention. There is a weekly theme, so the story, experiment and art project are all related each week, further solidifying my daughter's knowledge on science/nature topics. If your child is not attending a daily "2s program", this is a great intro to circle time and focusing, and is also a great place to make other toddler friends. Of all the classes my daughter has taken as a toddler, Preschool Prep is by far the family favorite. Highly recommend.

We highly recommend Richie Dinkes and the approach he takes with his Standout Learning tutoring. Richie has tremendous insight on how to approach a child who is behind his grade level in ELA and Math. He uses metrics to show progress and gave us an organized approach to help our son catch up in reading. We saw immediate results. In six months our son jumped 9 reading levels. This has given him tremendous confidence in the classroom. We are thrilled with our sons progress and he could not have done it without the assistance of Richie Dinkes.

This is my 6th or 7th year with Standout Learning, I believe we are going into our 7th year as we started in 6th grade. I can only give the highest commendations to the instuctors whom my son has had multiple times over the years because we liked them so much. 'We also did the SAT prep class which was an excellent way for my son to learn in a small environment and he went up multiple points from start to finish as a result of the class. Richie the owner is fantastic and easy to deal with and makes each childs learning his main focus. I highly recommend Standout Learning for anyone looking for a tutor or class to assist their child. My daughter prepared for her 3rd grade state test exam with Richie (the owner) and we had an amazing experience. What truly sets Standout Learning from other test prep places is that Richie is a true educator and he hires only the best teachers with certifications and teaching experience. This is often not the case with many of the test prepping establishments around the Upper East Side.

The results spoke for themselves as my daughter got perfect score on the ELA (which is the section Richie was prepping her for). You cant go wrong with Standout Learing! We will be using them again for all our test prepping needs 🙂

We have been using Standout Learning for both my sons starting from elementary school up to SAT prep for College. They always accommodate our schedule and have a personal approach with matching up the appropriate style tutor . My younger son has an IEP and therefore needed a tutor who was knowledgeable in the Orton Gillingham approach to teaching .
My older son needed assistance with Algebra2- in middle school with their assistance his score went from a B to an A . When moving on to High School he needed help with SAT prep which rose his score as well, and was excepted to his first choice college. We will definitely be using Standout Learning for years to come as I have the younger son in his first year of high school .
They are an excellent resource and recommend them highly .
