My wonderful daughter has had so many challenges in the traditional school setting. As we navigate the system for a root cause understanding (which takes time), I made the decision to reach out to Sylvan to see if I could get extra support in the interim in hopes of bridging this educational gap that my sweet girl has. From the very beginning, I felt heard… even to the point of tears. From the second I walked in, I felt seen. And more importantly, I felt like they saw my daughter for who she is, not whatever learning disability she may or may not have. Margie gave me hope… and a hug. She made me feel like there is a light at the end of the tunnel and I cannot think of a better gift I could give my little Astrid. Margie spent about an hour with my son and figured out what he needed to help him learn how to read. She was kind, knowledgeable and knew exactly what she was doing to get him to engage and open up with her so she could get a clear evaluation with his needs to learning. The assessment was super professional. My 7 years old was so anxious and afraid. But it took her 5 minute to feel save and comfortable! That was amazing!! Highly recommended to visit and experience for your kids!

I turned to Sylvan after having another disheartening parent/teacher conference for my daughter in the Spring of 2023. She was a 3rd grader testing as low as a kindergarten level in various areas of ELA. I was worried that the support she was being provided at school wasn’t enough to fill the gap to get her to grade level. This is when I reached out to Sylvan and met Ms. Margie for the first time. Ms. Margie listened and seemed to understand my daughter immediately. I remember leaving this initial consultation feeling at ease for the first time in months and hopeful with a plan in place. Fast forward 1.5 years and I can happily say that my daughter is testing at grade level for reading! She has grown exponentially in fluency, vocabulary, comprehension—and more importantly, confidence. Sylvan has proven to be a safe space for my daughter to make friends, laugh, ask questions, and learn. I am incredibly grateful to Ms. Margie and her amazing team.

Sylvan Learning is simply amazing. If I could give this 10 stars I would in a heart beat. Margie and Pam have been an absolute God send for my family. They are so caring and kind. Margie and Pam always take the time to explain everything and show so much compassion and commitment to my daughter. The tutors here are equally amazing. They go at a pace my daughter can understand and are helping her learn and grow so much. My daughter is always eager to come to Sylvan and is absolutely thriving under their care. I would highly recommend coming to this location if your child is in need of a tutor, I guarantee you will be welcomed and get all of the help you need!

Since Annabelle started attending Sylvan Learning just a few weeks ago, we can already see a tremendous change in her. She is much more comfortable with her math homework & needs a lot less help! Can’t wait to see what she will accomplish during these last few months of the school year. Definitely recommending Sylvan Learning for any child that has a hard time with any school work. I am beyond happy with our experience at Sylvan! Ms. Margie was so incredibly knowledgeable, kind and detailed in our initial evaluation meeting. I had no doubts after reading all the amazing reviews as well, and sure enough, after only a few weeks with Ms. Cindy, I am already seeing a HUGE change in my first grader’s reading skills. He’s more confident and we no longer have tears over trying to practice reading and writing at home.
Trust me, I was worried as this is such a big financial investment, but it’s worth every penny. I just know this will make an enormous difference in his long term learning and confidence after getting such a strong foundation at Sylvan.

Edit: (The ONLY thing I wish I could change is the location. This is the “Highlands Ranch”location, but it’s actually east a ways in Lone Tree. I wish there was one in or nearer to HR as right now it’s right off the freeway exchange and the traffic after school in that direction is awful, and bumper-to-bumper coming back an hour later. Also parking is definitely an issue as there are only a few spots for Sylvan and they’re almost always full. But honestly the tutors are so great it’s worth the hassle, and I can’t fault the incredible people there for the location.)
