This is completely unacceptable to open the facility only two days a week, in a city that has 13,000 population. A very small space and they have made almost everything online, which sucks.
In addition, no one that works in here looks happy or grateful.

Taft's DMV has an All-Star in Lupe, window #4. She is courteous and right to the point. Very helpful in explaining the choices and results. Lupe at window #4 was pleasant and professional and should get a raise............

Staff was out of this world going out of their way to help not only me but others .
Big suck factor was this branch is only open to the public 2 days a week. It was a total mad house. VERY crowded

The examiner gave me a “didn’t use the correct turn signals” and I know for a fact I did use the correct signals. It’s a small town with lots of neighborhoods literally everywhere. So the speed limit can change from 25 mph to 35 mph. They really tried to get at me for going too slow or too fast when I was just following the speed limit that came up for each street that I turned on to. The same with driving too far on the right but not close enough to the right side to complete a right turn. The examiner really contradicts their statements just to mark you extra mistakes just so you can retake the exam.

Small town DMV. Wait time was nothing compared to other DMV’s I have been to but there’s a man that works here that literally every time I have gone, treats me and everyone he “helps” badly. He’s very rude and impossible to get a smile from. Besides him, it’s not a bad dmv but I would have for him to be a coworker. Random storm cloud on a bright day.

While I can’t vouch for all the employees whom work there, I only speak for one who was older guy and grey hair; he was definitely rude. This was in 2020 I had bought a trailer and wasn’t really experienced towing but knew this DMV had better parking for those who have trailer (I used to live in Taft years ago) so my gal and I went, not realizing the new appointment only had started the day before so I partially take some blame. So we got there, walked to the door and encountered the rude employee. I understood because of the policy and not much really could be done but the employee needs to work on his social graces and customer service. Eventually I got the trailer registered at dmv in Bakersfield after appointment
