My 14 year old daughter left Middle School feeling deflated. Math was difficult for her and we noticed she was missing important skills.

My 17 year old son needed guidance and a set program, in-person, to improve his SAT scores.

Adding more to the mix, we live abroad! I had to find a center that could adapt to our situation and our distinct needs.

We found Sylvan at Granite Bay and it changed our lives for the better. Sara was supportive and patient and she went above and beyond to accommodate to us (with 9 hour time difference). She had us organized before we arrived in California.

Luke was a star. He managed a 2 hour class, with SAT prep and math tutoring, at the same time. The teens actually loved going to summer school and surprisingly, Sylvan brought them closed together through learning and supporting each other…and even added a bit of competition!

My son improved his SAT score by over 100 points and my daughter started High School in Accelerated Math. They continue with Luke online and look forward to seeing him at 9:00am every Saturday (6:00pm our time).

Sylvan Learning in Granite Bay: A Game-Changer for Struggling Learners!

I cannot recommend Sylvan Learning in Granite Bay highly enough. As a parent of a special needs child who has struggled with reading, I was at my wit's end trying to find a program that could truly help him thrive. Sylvan has been an absolute game-changer for us.

Sara, the Center Director, is an absolute gem. She is incredibly understanding, supportive, and truly goes above and beyond to find creative solutions for every student's unique learning challenges. She worked closely with us to develop a personalized plan for my son, and we couldn't be happier with the results.

Catherine, my son's instructor, is nothing short of amazing. She is incredibly patient, kind, and has an incredible talent for "out of the box" thinking. She has created a truly engaging and effective program that has not only improved my son's reading skills but has also boosted his confidence and love for learning.

If you're looking for a learning center that truly cares about your child's success and is willing to go the extra mile to help them reach their full potential, Sylvan Learning in Granite Bay is the place to be. We are so grateful for everything they have done for our son and our family.

As part of the Granite Bay community, and having a daughter in 4th grade at Ridgeview, I understand how important it is to have an excellent learning center within our community. That’s the reason why Sara Yang, who worked for the US Dept. of Education for many years, has decided to open Sylvan Learning Center—not just for the good of her own children, but more than that, it is for her dream and passion!

My daughter is struggling a little with Math. After taking Sylvan’s assessment. The results clearly show her weaknesses that need to be improved. I enrolled her for Math lessons 2 times a week, and now she is sharing her thoughts about her first lesson:

“I had the best time at Sylvan, the teacher is really nice and funny like my teacher at school. He taught me fractions that are really hard for me, but it’s easier now. I’m glad Sylvan is open, because now I can just walk there anytime from my mom’s salon. 😊”
