Daryl is a great Instructor, goes through the material very well and is always up to awnser your questions no matter how simple or complex they may be, he is very repoetitive in the good way. He will teach you something untill it sticks. I was pretty unsure if I wanted to persue my pilots license in the beginning but now talking to Daryl has reasured me that it is possible and feasible. I would definitely consider this a go at your own pace program and is perfect for individuals that would love to train once a week or so as of 8/4/22. Daryl has 3 well serviced and clean planes, 2 C150s and one C172. One thing that stood out to me is if your up to it he will let you be very hands on, examples are the preflight checklist and talking on the unicom. Not sure if this is a universal concept that every CFI does but i very much appreciate it as it goes with my learning style.

Daryl Hudson is an excellent flight instructor. I got my license in 2004 after just over 1 year of training (41.5 Hours of flight instruction when 40 Hours is the minimum). Ukiah Aviation still does my BFR. Daryl's style is low pressure and learn at your own pace. He does not rush you and if you don't understand something he is very good at finding another way to explain it till you find a way that works for you. If you want to learn to fly Ukiah Aviation is the place to do it. As of July 2017 I have accrued just over 300 hours of flight time and have had no incidents; that is a testament to Ukiah Aviation.
