Best horse riding facility in NorCal. Clean stables, horses well fed and taken care of, top Instructors for children and adults, they do both english and western. I did a western lesson with Alicia and had a blast, she teaches from the ground up, so you get an idea on how to really care for a horse, always putting the animal first instead of just jumping on one and riding it. They have an indoor arena and outdoor as well so they teach all year long rain or shine, you can walk around the place and take lots of horse pics.

Our daughter had her first lesson at 9 yo with Alicia. It was such an incredible, fun and confidence boosting experience, that she continues with lessons today, three years later, with both Alicia and trainer, Kim. All of her staff is very skilled and knowledgeable and excellent with both children and horses. Fast forward, our daughter, as well as myself, boarded our own horses at Alicia’s ranch for a couple of years before moving them to a place of our own. I’d do it again in a heartbeat! The NorCal family took such great care of our babies as if they were their own. Now, three years later, our daughter and I still ride and take lessons today from both Alicia and Kim. We have also gone on several trail rides with Alicia. I encourage you to get your friends and family together for a beautiful and scenic trail ride. Alicia will show you the best time. The memories are unforgettable and the experience is priceless!

Beautiful day for a trail ride. The professionalism could be worked on as well as the temperament of the owner. The horses have underlying health issues that should not be ignored which also interfered with the ride. Lots of potential for improvement but overall positive experience.

A wonderful place for just about anything horse related. The barn is clean and welcoming and the horses are friendly and well cared for! Take a trail ride with Alicia if you get a chance, they are so much fun!!!

This place is incredible. The facility is amazing and the horses all seem happy and well cared for. Everyone at the barn was helpful and kind. The grounds were very clean and everything was orderly. The indoor arena looked great!

I was excited to do a trail ride with Alicia, the owner of NorCal Trail rides, and my experience with Alicia and her staff exceeded my expectations. We were visiting the Redding area for the weekend and the trail ride was the highlight of the entire weekend. Alicia is the consummate professional. Very knowledgeable, patient, and engaging. Alicia made us feel safe and comfortable. Alicia clearly knows what she's doing. It was a beautiful day, the mountain and creek views were amazing, and the riding landscape breathtaking. The horses were calm and very well trained. The other staff at NorCal Trail Rides were also welcoming, knowledgeable, and hardworking. Everyone looks out for you and ensures you are enjoying your ride. I can't recommend NorCal Trail Rides enough. Thank you, Alicia for an amazing day!

My son (12) and daughter (9) have loved their lessons! Kim is an awesome instructor. Very calm and patient with great tips and tricks to help them improve. My daughter was very fearful to start with but with all the kindness and patience she has really overcome her fear and gotten much more comfortable. Really lovely animals too!

The first thing I noticed was the excellent condition of the horses. They're sleek, well-fed and have an enormous grass pasture for galloping and grazing. Quality. Of. Life. Alicia is the owner, very kind and knows her stuff! I've been on two trail rides and can't wait to go again. The park and the river are gorgeous. What a wonderful experience!
