My daughter Leila has been going to this Sylvan for a few months now and I've already seen a marked improvement in her reading skills. But it's a lot more than that. She is FAR less antagonistic about school and about practicing reading during story-time at night at home. I feel a lot more encouraged about this next school year because I think she feels more empowered and less anxious. The teachers here are all positive and encouraging. It's been summer and she goes twice a week and hasn't complained - even during sunny weather. She doesn't fight me on it! Their little "store" where kids can spend points on little toys for motivation is something she's really excited about. I often ask her who her favorite teacher has been and she sternly tells me, "They are all nice, Mom." I can't say enough positive things about them.
