Ed and his team offered tremendous, customized tutoring. They used diagnostic tests to productively focus the time, provided a study plan outside of the tutoring sessions, communicated clearly with me about progress, and made learning new math fun! Highly recommend for SHSAT and SAT!

Ed helped prepare my daughter with several individualized sessions that focused on areas where she needed to learn some new math content and then helped in all areas of test strategy. From her first practice ACT as a benchmark, her score rose 5 points on her first try taking the test and she achieved her score goal in a single sitting so she does not have to take the test again. Ed had a postive and realistic approach to test prep and instilled confidence in my daughter which was very effective. She actually enjoyed the sessions and was really happy with the progress she made with his guidance. I highly recommend Ed.

I worked with my son last summer (2020) to help him prepare for the SHSAT. We made progress, but we hit a wall after a couple of months. My son was close but not quite up to the level he needed to be to get an offer from any of the specialized schools. He was burned out, and the uncertainty about whether, when, and how the SHSAT would be administered didn't help. It wasn't until mid-January, a little more than two weeks before the test, that my son regained enough enthusiasm to refocus.

I got in contact with Ed, and he very quickly set up a short series of private sessions for my son with Adnan. I had my doubts about how much could be accomplished in just a few sessions, but these were put to rest in the first 10 minutes working with Adnan -- it was clear that he had the expertise to quickly assess my son's strengths and weaknesses and make very productive use of the limited time available. After four sessions my son felt a lot more comfortable with material he had been struggling with and confident about his prospects.

I was very pleased and highly recommend Antoine Education.

(While the test results would not have impacted my review, I decided to wait until the receiving them in hopes of having a better story to tell. We got good news from DOE this past week, and I have no doubt that Adnan's tutoring gave my son the boost he needed.)

As a follow up to my review from a few years ago I want to share an additional note about my experience. My son is now getting ready to prepare for the SAT. I I picked up the phone yesterday and gave Ed a call after not having been in touch for more than 2 years. We talked for about 20 minutes, going over the basics about where my son is right now with his preparation and discussing tutoring options and the tutors he has available. Ed noted that Adnan, the tutor my son worked with previously, is now working independently. Ed offered to put me in touch with Adnan if we preferred to continue with the same tutor. It's not everyone who operates this way, and I want to recognize Ed for the way he runs his business.

Ed Antoine is a real pro. I sent my son to Ed for SAT prep, fully anticipating that he would take the SAT multiple times. However, since Ed so efficiently addressed my son’s weak spots and focused on those types of math problems giving him trouble, he was able to take the SAT once and see positive results. On a more personal level, my son appreciated Ed’s candid nature, flexibility, and advice about the entire college application process. SAT tutoring with Ed was money well spent.
