Bay Area Tutor offers an excellent platform for tutors to engage with students and make a genuine difference in their academic journeys. The available assistance and resources were excellent, allowing me to focus on what I do best: assisting children in learning and growing.

I have been volunteering as a tutor with Bay Area tutors for a couple of months now. The tutors are well trained and care about the success of the students. I worked with 1st and 4th graders at the rocketship discovery prep school focusing on English , but they have a variety of subjects and grades to choose from that will suit your interests. I recommend this program for anyone interested in dipping their toes in teaching or education as you get hands on experience of working with students in a classroom settings.

BATA is a great association, all of the Rocketship elementary staff is kind and welcoming and they always made sure to help me when I had questions and concerns. My experience at Rocketship was great and I am thankful for the support from all staff.

I had a very good time tutoring for the BATA program. I believe this program is important in our communities because we offered free help to less advantaged students and parents. The community center I personally volunteered at was welcoming and I felt like I was able to make a difference in their academic careers. We need programs like this everywhere, such an amazing group of people who put this together.

I had a very positive experience volunteering while part of my service learning class. When I think about how much of an impact I was able to make on the students I had met during my short time tutoring, I can only be hopeful that this organization as well as others like it continue to do their work. It truly is the teachers as well that are the real heroes, I was very happy to see how involved the staff and faculty are with the students.

I have volunteered here to complete service hours for my university and it went very well. The organization was very professional and handles every school and student with care with everything that they do. It was an amazing opportunity to be able to help this organization in giving back to the community and inspiring youth to go to college and pursue their dreams for a brighter future. I really enjoyed tutoring with BATA. It helped me develop skills that will help me in my future career. I tutored 3rd grade students. They can get off task at times but with proper initiative, they were able to get back on task. The students were shy at the first but they warmed up quickly. Overall, it is great experience! I tutored during my last semester at SJSU. I would recommended BATA to anyone who is looking for a way to help out the younger generation. 🙂
