Team Karate Centers is a very welcoming and appreciative dojo. Sensei Fariborz has created a vibrant space that allows students to be confident and comfortable when interacting.
A lot of smiles mixed with discipline to endeavor to do your best with intent and work with some of the best instructors in L.A. If you look them up you’ll understand where the high standards come from, and what you will actually be learning.

TKC is the best. Our kids have trained here for years. The instructors, the facilities, the community. The lessons TKC teaches translate into all other areas of life … school, other sports, relationships. It’s a real gift for our kids and family. Everyone should give it a try!

One of the best decisions I made for my 9 year old son and for myself was to join TKC. That was 20 years ago. My son is now a 3rd degree Black Belt. TKC became our second home and Sensei Fariborz Azhakh’s training changed our lives. It gave my son high self esteem and confidence, love and respect for his fellow man. If we were training, there was no time for idleness, drugs, alcohol and bad company. Martial arts became close to religion for my family. You cannot go wrong when you are with TKC.

Now that I’ve got that info out of the way, let me just say that TKC is not just a training facility but a place to learn and grow.
The staff are more like family who genuinely care about each and every person who walks through those doors.
You see genuine joy and camaraderie with members of all ages as they challenge and help each other set and reach goals
Sensei Fariborz is truly a wonderful man who really listens to you and is wise beyond his years.
I trained under him in the late 90s and you don’t just learn how to kick and punch. He also encourages you to think outside the box and create.
In essence, Life Lessons.
Since then I have been diagnosed with Parkinson’s. When our program lost its gym during the pandemic i reached out to Sensei for help.
Thanks to him , myself and many of my friends now can continue to fight the good fight

After signing my 4 year old son up for the amazing Little Dragons with Sensei Jared and seeing how much fun he was having, I was inspired to look into and take classes myself. I had taken Tae Kwan Do back in college, but it had been quite some time. I met a mother in the class that had started taking classes after similarly being inspired and loved the adult class.
Sensei Fariborz and the entire community of Team Karate Centers was so welcoming and supportive. I was concerned about taking a class with so many different skill levels, but Sensei Fariborz created and provided an amazing app that was game changing. It contains all the curriculum and many of the skills taught in the class for self practice. This allows me to work on the skills and techniques needed for my belt independently, and then bring questions for improvement to the class. I feel like the school is seriously embracing the tools available to us today and it's EXTREMELY helpful.
I cannot speak enough of the community at the school. As i mentioned before, my 4 year old takes classes there as well, and we are far from being unique. I've met so many families taking classes together. The school goes out of its way to foster a strong and welcoming environment.
