This is one museum that takes historical facts and collectibles and presents them bluntly and carefully. Fascinating journey through the many layers of history. Allow some time for self-directed tour. They DO allow you to leave and return on the same day. The staff are very welcoming and hospitable. Not handicap accessible. Unfortunately that would be impossible without messing with the historical structures.

Well, I guess you can’t be a struggling middle-class person who worked hard all their life and raise a kid by their self, but I can’t get any help. I need some medical procedures done and I don’t have a ride and I cannot drive when I have them done, but no big deal. Their senior care citizens whatever, you have to be on Medicaid if you’re on Medicare it doesn’t matter there’s no one there who can lead you in the right direction. It’s just a very disappointing place

I was in need of quick low income housing. I got it in Victor, only 7 miles away. Everyone was friendly and caring, Social Services was right on it for me. I also visited the VA Rep. Who was also right into helping with my third appeal for my late husband's survivors benefits. That has been a really long process due to lost and missing records...possibly sabotage.

One of the coolest buildings I have ever seen... It's an indoor mock mineshaft that was formerly a casino converted into a community center... First place I go whenever I'm in cripple creek. Community lunch is served once a week and completely free... Everyone in this town is down to earth and super friendly.

Aspen Mine Center is out of this world beautiful, when you you walk in the door..Bam, you are visually greeted with an amazing decorated view of a waterfall and mimicked mining area! It is just breath taking. As far as the customer service goes I personally was taken care of without a problem, however there are a few workers that you should either watch how you act around or you'll get yelled at, especially if you do not know what you're doing. My wife went there and did not know how the downstairs clothes closet worked and the upstairs store was all paid items, she was treated very bad by certain employees, and I am not going to name them but if they read this, Please if you're not able to help people in a nice and professional way then you should not be in the business where you have to help people. My wife is disabled and did not deserve the treatment she received! Other than that, Aspen Mine is a wonderful place, GOD BLESS and plz keep up the good works.
