The staff over all is very accommodating. The living conditions were actively improving as I was there. The freedoms were very nice. Classes are about 6 hours a day. Two leaders worked hard to help you know how to apply in real life. The other group leaders have room for improvement. The ā€œprovidersā€ are nice but it is challenging to get into a psychiatrist. The only reason I removed one star is because sometimes communication between all of the different groups that work together there is a breakdown and miscommunication, which can cause some stress for clients. I do think they are aware and are actively trying to improve this. I think this is a great place if you want a two week break and to brush up on your mental health. Each weekend there are multiple field trips and there are even animals that come to visit the campus once a week. They are accommodating on diets the best that they can. I never saw them not working on something to try to improve the campus so I think that in itself is a very positive piece. The people who were attend here also add a really positive note to the atmosphere. Most everyone that comes is really here to help themselves and to reenter and ground. It is delightful to be able to be in the mountains and have a beautiful view while recharging.

I would not recommend this recovery center to anyone seeking real change. The management has been consistently poor, and it’s evident that they do not listen to the concerns of the clients. The classes offered are extremely repetitive, with little to no variation, making it hard to stay engaged or feel like you're learning anything new.

Additionally, during my stay, I witnessed 10 people leave and return, all of whom felt they had gained nothing from their time at the facility. This speaks volumes about the lack of real progress or improvement that clients experience here.

Another issue is the high staff turnover rate. It feels like staff members are constantly coming and going, which impacts the overall consistency of care and support that clients should be receiving. The staff that remains seems overworked and stretched thin, which only adds to the frustration.

The so-called "24-hour snack bar" is advertised, but by the time clients can access it, it's already picked over by the staff. There’s rarely anything left for us to actually use. As for the food in general, it’s consistently bland and lacks any sort of nutritional variety.

This place has a lot of room for improvement, especially when it comes to management, staff consistency, and ensuring clients actually see progress during their stay.

My stay for Mental Health dual diagnosis and MSR was amazing. I have been to many IOP and PHP programs and this was the most structured one i’ve ever been in. all the facilitators are great Xavier and Elizabeth are awesome. They also have mental health techs that are available 24/7! The girls Aliyah, Hailey, Jordan and Maddi are so wonderful and really helped me through a lot of tough moments. Everything was individualized and all the staff made sure you were taken care of. Two of the directors John and Shay are amazing people who genuinely care about you and your journey. I feel much more stable and i was able to come home and continue to implement the things i’ve learned. Also beautiful scenery, we went on outings and they have ducks and geese. 10/10 experience i would recommend this place to anyone who has the motivation and want for real change.

An amazing place for recovery. Not only do they help with the physical side of things but also the mental. The staff are caring and loving and truly have a passion for their jobs as well as the clients. Wonderful living conditions and plenty of options for food. And the community of people there really are supportive of each other and the recovery. By the end you feel as part of a family with everyone. I can say by far this is the best recovery I’ve been to.
Something different about this place is they let you have your cellphone, so you can still be connected and deal with the outside world. This is helpful because it allows you to be connected with family or friends, deal with finances, and also deal with the same possible struggles but from a safe and nurturing environment where you have a team of people that can help.
Classes everyday but not in an overwhelming manner. Plenty of breaks during.
Smoking and vaping is allowed in designated areas. You’re allowed to get mail, packages and approved items from stores while there, including clothes and food/snack items if you want.
It’s all in all, it’s a place where you can get better while not feeling trapped or you can’t be yourself. I did a 30 day stay, and would happily answer any questions.
They offer up to a 90 day stay if you desire as well for a maximum treatment process.
Can’t stress enough how great this place is.
Thank you Mountain Springs Recovery. You saved my life in every way.

If you or a loved one are seeking a compassionate and effective rehabilitation center for mental health and substance abuse, I wholeheartedly recommend Mountain Springs Recovery. My experience there was transformative, thanks in large part to the incredible staff and the supportive environment they create.

From the moment I arrived, it was clear that MSR is dedicated to accommodating each individual's needs. The facilitators were not only knowledgeable but also genuinely invested in my recovery journey. Al and Cro stood out as exceptional guides—each brought their unique teaching styles that resonated deeply with me, making the learning process engaging and impactful.

The accommodations were comfortable, and the food was quite good—important factors that contributed to a positive overall experience. John, the director of operations, was a constant presence around the facility, tirelessly working to enhance services and ensure that every client received the support they needed. His dedication truly set the tone for a nurturing atmosphere.

Weekly sessions with individual therapists were another highlight of my time at MSR. My therapist, Janira, was phenomenal; she helped me navigate through many personal challenges with empathy and expertise. It felt like I had someone in my corner who understood me completely.

Additionally, Mountain Springs Recovery offers a variety of extracurricular activities that promote healing and connection among clients. This aspect not only made my stay more enjoyable but also fostered a sense of community that I found incredibly beneficial.

In summary, Mountain Springs Recovery is an outstanding choice for anyone looking for help in overcoming mental health challenges or substance abuse issues. The blend of supportive staff, effective therapy options, and comfortable living conditions makes it a place where healing truly happens. If you're ready to take that important step towards recovery, I encourage you to consider MSR—you won't regret it!

A wonderful place. Would love to find my way back, but my insurance was pulled after the death of my husband, whom you all know as well. Been trying to see if any scholarships or grants. Only place I trust right now. Would love even a short stay. Anything or work out payment plan. You all did wonders last time.

The facilitators, therapists and staff are fantastic!!!
I truly feel like everyone cares about your success and I did learn a lot from the groups and individual therapy sessions.

I did remove a star for cleanliness. The facility has several issues with overall cleanliness and keeping up with it. The drink machines are not cleaned regularly as they should be. The salad bar left several with tummy issues. The cleaning staff seems to only focus on the floors. The tables in the clubhouse and dining areas were never wiped off. Door handles of the fridges were never cleaned. There are several cleanliness issues throughout the facility.

Other than the cleanliness issues / I enjoyed my stay and believe it was a great start to my recovery. The staff and the community of clients made it a truly special place.
