I can’t say enough good things about our child’s experience at Sylvan of Southbury. We met with Peter for an assessment where he spoke to us in depth about what we were looking to accomplish for our daughter in regards to tutoring but I was really impressed with the way he connected with her and was able to really ascertain what she needed. I appreciated the fact that we were always kept in the loop in regards to her progress and our daughter was held accountable for completing assigned work. Since completing her tutoring at Sylvan her last two progress reports have improved tremendously. She has a solid A average and math (which was her biggest challenge) is now one of her favorite subjects. She told us that since her tutoring sessions, she feels much more confident during tests and is able to finish in the allotted time, which was a major struggle for her in the past. She has also been completing all of her assignments on time and is doing a much better job of organizing her notes and managing her class and homework time. Her notes and binders are now well organized and she's very meticulous about writing her assignments down in her planner (a task which she struggled to keep up with). She seems much more relaxed and less stressed about school and I cannot thank Peter and his team of tutors enough for all of the help they have provided for our daughter over the past year. She really enjoyed working with her tutors and we truly appreciate the kindness and patience they have shown her. Thank you so much!!

Sylvan has been great for my daughter!! She has shown great progress in math since starting at Sylvan and feels more confident. Peter is extremely knowledgeable. He explains things very well to non-teachers like me and takes the time to get to know each child's individual personality. I highly recommend this Center!!

My daughter had a short amount of time to prepare for taking her SATs for the second time. Peter was wonderful to work with, getting her in there quickly and getting her scheduled for tutoring. Even when her schedule had to change, they accommodated her. Tutor was terrific as well. Waiting for SAT results but expecting she improved. I very much recommend Sylvan of Southbury and already have to one friend.
