Steve is absolutely wonderful and a wealth of knowledge. He is exceptionally patient with less experienced divers, answering all of their questions about gear. He makes sure you are comfortable with the decision before buying gear. Top notch! We are looking forward to our first dive trip with them soon! We feel most fortunate to have discovered Fin-Tastic Diving. Steve and Bea (the owners) are wonderful people, and professionals when it comes to diving. They are our go to shop for diving equipment.
We went on one of their dive trips to Bonaire and it far exceeded our expectations. We met wonderful people who became friends, and we look forward to going on other trips in the future. Bea goes above and beyond in making sure that the trips are well planned and organized.

Steve, the owner, is extremely experienced with and knowledgeable about diving and dive gear. He kindly spent a great deal of time going over all the different gear options and their corresponding pros and cons. And, while I was in the shop, a few folks also stopped in with various issues or needs that Steve took care of promptly and courteously.

I also took the SCUBA courses from Steve, and both he and JP are fantastic instructors. They are exceedingly patient (thank you guys!), safe, and happy to review and expand upon the concepts and lessons from the course.

I went on a diving trip with my daughter which Steve and Bea from Fintastic Diving organized. It was wonderful not to worry about my daughter as she was in excellent hands when diving with Steve. He is extremely knowledgeable, and a great instructor. The shop is clean and well organized, and Steve will help you with the perfect products tailored to your needs. Working with Steve and his crew was a great experience. They are very intelligent and definitely knew what they were talking about. Not only that but they were there to help get the most out of the world of diving, not just to make as much money off of me as possible. They were very accommodating and Steve did a great job explaining what had to be done and when. He was also always available to talk whenever I had questions. Hats off to Steve & Fintastic Diving in Branford, CT! Steve, the owner, loves diving and wants others to have great experiences of their own. Not only is he a wealth of information about diving and dive equipment, he makes learning fun.

My son and I decided to pursue diving a few months ago, and after searching several shops in CT, we chose Fintastic. Steven spent unhurried time with us, answering our questions, letting us try on all the gear, and helping us purchase the right equipment for our new adventures.

In the Open Water classes, Steve covered the information, and his stories drove home the importance of familiarity with the essentials. He helped us have a healthy respect for the water while enjoying the experience of diving. When we did our two days in the pool, Steve patiently demonstrated and helped us succeed in the maneuvers necessary to be certified.

In addition to this, a visit to Fintastic Diving shop is worth it. Steve displays a variety of equipment so you can "try them on for size." From the simplest to the most sophisticated equipment, Steve let's you experiment with everything so you can make the best decision for your budget and diving plans.

It goes without saying that I highly recommend Steve and Fintastic Diving. Along with the expertise in equipment and expert training, my son and I are heading to the Caribbean. If you want a full-service dive shop and excellent equipment, advice and training, Steve & Fintastic Diving is the place to go!

Steve, the owner and trainer, is fantastic to say the least! I have never met an owner/salesman that truly cares about the customer. The two words I would use to describe Steve are patient and honest.

The level of patience Steve has is incredible. He dedicated time for each of my questions and concerns. I have personally spent a number hours going over countless questions. He always had a listening ear and gave comprehensive answers to each question. It is evident that his desire is to educate each person about diving and equipment to make an informed decision.

Steve's honesty is also evident when shopping for equipment. Never once did he persuade me to purchase anything quickly or force me to make an undesired purchase. He will work with your budget to get you the best equipment within your budget. By no means does he try to sell you something for a quick buck. He takes his time to inform you of the pros and cons about equipment so you can decide what is best for you. His knowledge and experience provides a tremendous resource that money cannot buy.

Steve is thorough in training. He will work with each student to ensure you understand the maneuvers, science, and safety protocols for diving. He provides a comprehensive education to best prepare for scuba.

My father and I completed one portion of training, 2 days practicing in the pool. The remainder of our open water training is 2 days in the ocean with Steve. You will most certainly feel comfortable to dive with Steve's training. If you are not comfortable during training, he will dedicate time to make sure you successfully accomplish each task and will educate you to improve on your skills.

If you want to learn how to dive or want to purchase quality equipment, the Fin-tastic Diving shop is the place to go! I highly recommend going to Branford to see Steve!

Starting with the scuba classroom learning course, to my first day in the pool, to selecting the appropriate gear, to final open water certification, fintastic's staff was there every step of the way making the process a fun and safe experience. The vacation diving trips arranged by Steve and Bea are incredible and affordable. They will handle all of the travel details making these fun adventures easy and worry free for divers and non divers.
So far I have been on 5 group trips to the Caribbean with Fintastic diving and have developed friendships with other divers along the way.
Looking forward to the Honduras trip coming up next month..
