I have been coming to this church for months. I enjoy the way they do their services. They have a nice children's church that my daughter enjoys as well. It is a very large church so it can be quite overwhelming if you are looking for that more intimate feel in a church. You can become lost in the crowds and find it difficult to find new friends or personal relationships. There are weekly groups that you can join that can help tackle that issue. The worship team is awesome and it is a very nice, clean, modern church that has a nice coffee lounge as well.

This is a very welcoming church and I always feel at peace here. The messages are insightful and thought-provoking, offering practical guidance. Pastor Ken delivers his sermons with genuine warmth and clarity. I recommend visiting.

This is my 3rd visit at Vertical Church at West Haven! There's always people waving at you when drive in the church parking area and when you leave! When you walk inside the church there will be greeters! My kids 7, 4 and 2 love the Sunday school! My 2 years old was happy in the class this morning no crying or struggle going to the class! I am away from God for years because of moving a lot but today Pastor Frank spoke about God came to save the broken and the lost those who are broken beyond repair! It spoke to my heart! God still loves me no matter what people said about me! I met 2 of my homeschool moms in this church! My son is 7 he will be attending the church VBS tomorrow morning for 5 days! I'm so excited for him that he will learn about God and encounter God in a special way.

Went there today for the first time (I’m a kid not saying age) the kids section is amazing. You learn many stuff in 1 hour, and intake a lot! Really short but so much to take in! Definitely recommend if you have a packed day but still want to get closer to God!

My family and I have been going to vertical now for close to two months.
I grew up in a church and always believed but never felt a real connection even though I was earnestly trying to.
Then when I got sick with a horrible panic disorder in 2018, I turned my back on God completely and started looking for answers elsewhere.
Then a few months ago this change happened in me. All at the same time I found the tv show The Chosen, the hallow prayer app, and those both involving the actor Jonathan Roumie led me to the movie Jesus Revolution.
All this made me start praying daily and actually reading the bible for the first time in my life!
From there I found the real life Pastor Greg Laurie and I started watching some of his stuff online while searching for a new church home locally.
At that same time, my daughter Ruby was invited by a friend to go to a teen night at Vertical.
When she came home she said "Papa, I cant explain it, I loved it there so much and when they were playing the music I cried. I want to go back."
So like any good father, i looked into Vertical and found they were not only very similar to what i saw with Pastor Greg, they checked off EVERY box for me for a new church home.
I found out an old friend goes to Vertical as well and next thing i knew she brought me one Sunday and my life would never be the same.
So many amazing, warm, and welcoming people made me feel like instant family.
When i had such a horrible panic attack i had to leave the sanctuary, that's where the magic happened.
I was prayed over by 5 or 6 various people and it was the most incredible experience of my life.
Now my whole family goes (we were even baptized as a family!) and we all want to get involved with helping and serving. That'll take time due to my disorder of course, but it is the goal and i know it's possible because Jesus is leading the way now.
If you're looking for a new church home and are reading this. Look no further, come home with us.

It was a great experience. My family and I are transitioning from our church now to another church home. I've been studying the Bible in the Hebrew and Greek language once I heard Pastor talk about what scripture meant in Hebrew I was hooked! It's important to have a clear understanding of the Bible. The Hebrew and Greek language, depending on how you use it, can mean multiple things, and it's important to know this so you know what the writer was talking about. Heart in Hebrew means Sub-Conscious Mind it's not talking about your chest. See how important it is to have a better understanding of the word of God in its original language. Dr. Myles Munroe is my mentor. Everything i know about the Bible came from him. Then I was told that he came to Vertical Church twice. I know this is a church that my family and I need to get closer to. I've never had the privilege to meet him personally. I wish I did, but to be at a place that I know that he has been, I believe, that God is showing, leading my family in the right direction.
