Our father was a patient at Bayview for the final days of his life , we had been taking care of him at home and we needed help in his final days. We were afraid to leave him in the care of strangers but we were so very pleased with how both my father and we were treated at Bayview. He ( and we) received respectful, dignified, and compassionate care. From the admission director Trisha, the receptionist at the front door , the nurses ( Penny Christine,Hope and others whoms names I can’t recall) and nursing assistants our father and we were treated with professionalism and kindness.. We are grateful to have been in the right place to be his daughters ( not his caregivers) as we said good bye to him ♥️🙏

Don't listen to the bad reviews, I believe the bad reviews were when Agency travel staff worked there. But the Nurses & CNAs now are very hard working , there are many long term workers there that are efficient and exceptional.
Even if there is a CNA out sick the CNAs do an exceptional job

Not even 1 star qualifies staff is neglect not qualified to care for a fly. Never communicated with family. Moved my mom to another facility after she needed to be re-hospitalized for worsening skin care wounds and nephrostomy tube out of place. All in one week. Reported to state of CT public health. No call back from director of nursing, wonder if she would put a loved one in this place?

I worked at Bayview in April of 2015 to November 2023 it was a nice facility yes they sometimes were short staffed but that didn't mean we didn't give good care we all worked hard and dedication to our residents were our first priority I had been a CNA since 1977 I would highly recommend this place to have a loved one all the staff from each department do exceptional good care thank you Canadace Olone

My father was recently placed at Bayview for short term rehab after a stroke. He returned home today in better condition than he was in prior to the stroke. The entire rehab team is amazing and so dedicated to their patients. The nursing staff, physicians, NP’s and consulting physicians were on top of everything. They listened to our requests and my recommendations, kept us fully informed with his progress and always took the time to answer any questions we had. I have worked in skilled nursing for years and knew he was in good hands from the day I met the team at his first care conference.. I can’t thank the team at Bayview enough for the excellent care provided to my father.

I don’t go often but when I do they’re pleasant. Karen is very accommodating even when my brother is rude and obnoxious! They always have some sort of activity for the residents. Emily is fairly new to the job, but she is always readily available. Overall Bayview is a fine facility.

I wouldn't trust the staff here with anyone I care about. The staff I had interactions with were exceptionally combative and unwilling to accommodate for care of a patient with a feeding tube. They changed her formula and blamed underlying medical conditions that had no correlation with her throwing up. Not the fact that they changed the brand of formula and kept the room at around 80°F and would not provide a fan. Extremely unpleased with the level of care this facility deems as acceptable.
