My son has been studying at Pereira’s Academy of Karate for the past 3 months. It was a struggle to find a sport that he was interested as he always felt he had to be perfect or he’d let his coach down. Master Pereira has been incredible in helping build Bobby’s self confidence. Bobby loves going to class and learning new techniques.

Master P is an exceptional martial arts instructor. He has incredible patience and is amazing with kids. My daughter has always had an interest in karate, yet never felt comfortable at a studio to stick with it until she tried a class at Pereira’s Academy of Karate. She fell in love after the first class and now consistently looks forward to coming here every week! One of the many things that we love about this place are the class sizes. They are a perfect size as Master P is able to focus on each kid to help them learn new skills and master new techniques. Just after 3 months, my daughter has grown in confidence and listening skills. I highly recommend Pereira’s Academy of Karate!!

Master P is an awesome teacher! My child’s self confidence has been fostered through karate class and she can definitely defend herself. The adult class is also awesome! Master P meets each student on their level in order to help them learn new skills and fine tune technique. Pereira’s Academy of Karate is hands down the best around.

Two of my kids have been taking classes with Master P for a couple of months now and they absolutely love it! The first thing they do when they get home from school is get into their uniforms, grab their duffel bags, and wait until it’s time to head out.

I usually watch the kids in the last ten minutes before class ends and you can tell Master P is really good at managing kids, he knows all of the kids by name and each class is always varied (sparring, techniques, gloves, etc) and really piques their interest. Really disappointed we’re moving soon and we can’t take his dojo with us. Highly recommend Pereira’s Karate!

Master P (as his students call him) is one of the most patient martial art instructors I know. He doesn't have the beliefs every student will be perfect or even get each technique down perfect. He sees children and adult students for what they are individuals with different skills. He works hard with each student to strength their weaknesses and utilize their strengths to protect themselves. Both my kids have been studying with him for many years, they enjoy their time spent training and helping out other students lower ranked find their joy and still in the art. I highly recommend checking out Pereira’s Academy for your child or yourself.

Starting the kids at karate at Pereira's Academy of Karate has been the best thing I've done for them in ages. My daughter is able to excel athletically and mentally with lessons that constantly change and evolve. My autistic son is developing confidence, making friends, and becoming more independent and even more coordinated. My son transferred here after 1.5 years at another karate school. He was hooked after the first class and didn’t want to train anywhere else. It was the best decision we ever made! He has grown so much in less than a year. I have seen him gain confidence, courage and find his voice…thanks to Master P! Master P teaches the classes himself and is wonderful with the kids. He teaches the classes himself and focuses on each kid individually during every class. The class sizes are small and broken up by age group. The kids are not intimidated by teens and adults so they have a greater chance at success.
