I mean, pretty straight-forward. Stuff wrapped in rice, then all that wrapped in dried seaweed. The way they give it to you is interesting. To fit all sorts of flavor palettes, they give you not just white rice, but a choice of brown rice. Then there's all sorts of different fillings to choose from. And Rather than simply just giving them to you all wrapped up in the dried seaweed, because the place is just designed for takeout, they know you're going to take this elsewhere, and not necessarily know when you're going to eat it. So to prevent the food from getting cold, or touching the rice with the moisture ruining the seaweed, they wrap the seaweed separately, and each individual portion you ordered is also wrapped. Then, it's just a matter of taking out the seaweed, and then dumping the rice with fillings on top, and folding the seaweed to wrap the rice yourself. Voila!
Really straightforward, no fuss. I like it! The only thing is, I did ask for napkins in my order, but I should've asked for some before I stepped out.

I could eat here every day and never get bored. Cheap onigiri with generous filling and expertly seasoned dried seaweed. They're very quick at making these, and it takes me even less time to eat them. Two or three of these rice balls make the perfect lunch, and I don't ever regret ordering from here. Love you Gam Tu Bop, never change.

I got the beef and spicy shrimp rice balls - they were excellent! Also got the miso soup.

Wow, the rice balls are incredibly delicious! The beef one was by far my favorite one. Rich in flavor. Spicy shrimp was second best and I’d probably substitute the crab meat for a different flavor next time. 10/10

Cheap and well packaged. Loved the salted seaweed.

I’ve been going to Gam Tu Bop for like 6 years now and I really like them! Their food is affordable and they have a pretty good selection. Everything from beef to mushroom rice balls and I really like their shrimp rice rolls. Just be sure to double check your order to make sure you have enough seaweed wraps. Everyone I’ve taken here really likes it and I usually comes here every time I go to Glendale Galleria

I’ve had my share of rice balls. And, this place makes them strangely! They give you a separate sheet of roasted seaweed, which is normally wrapped around the rice ball at other places. Here, you have to wrap it yourself. I didn’t like the fact that it was “fussy” to eat it, and I found the beef to be too salty! They really should improve their packaging, too, as the plastic wrap didn’t seem appropriate for hot food.

Tasty affordable rice balls with generous amounts of various Japanese and Korean fillings! This place is so good it's literally always my first stop when I drive in from Sacramento.

My favorites are spicy shrimp, beef bulgogi, unagi (eel), spicy pork and kim chee. I love that the rice balls are individually wrapped and labeled and the nori (seaweed) to wrap them in is packaged separately. I love that it's Korean nori too.

Great for takeout, travels well, fast friendly service. To go orders only. If you can't find parking out front there is a parking structure just around the corner that gives you free parking for the first 90 minutes.

Very dissatisfied with the person that identified himself as the Gam Tu Bop manager. I agree with a different 1 star Google review, —> “They really should improve their packaging, too, as the plastic wrap didn’t seem appropriate for hot food...”
Any time I’ve ordered for pickup in the past the order was packaged in a cardboard box. Tonight, when I decided to respectfully speak up to ask for the usual small disposable cardboard box to put my to-go order in to keep warm (instead of the flimsy, thin paper container it came in), this manager told me he will not put to-go order in a cardboard box, in the most rude way, “You can’t have everything you want..” He was annoyed that I asked and lacked customer service skills because that comment and few he made that followed were impatient with sharp tone. Totally uncalled for. Not cool.
