Coach Rafael is an awesome instructor and well recommended by friends. He is very good around kids especially those who have fear of swimming. Thanks to him my son is able to swim on his own now. I definitely put my 100% trust on him. He is amazing!

Great staff & environment! Rafael & his team are THE people you’d want teaching you and your kids how to swim. My kids are about 3 months in & their confidence in the water has grown tremendously. When we first started my 4 year old use to cry everyday during swimming lessons, but now he randomly tells me how he can’t wait to go to swimming lessons! To me that says a lot about the instructors.

Raphael is truly the best! He is extremely patient and the kids have fun while working hard. He uses his many years of experience to help every child learn not only to learn to swim in a controlled environment, but how to rescue themselves in an emergency (see pic).

He has been a blessing as a mom of a child with special needs who sometimes needs a lot of extra attention. I can’t recommend Alabama Swim School enough!

Coach Rafael is an amazing swim coach! He has taught my daughter since she was three years old, and helped her get over her fear of water. She is now going on seven years old and preparing herself to be on the swim team. We could not be more proud of, her success in the water and how far she has come with his guidance. We also have a two year-old who has also started swim lessons with Coach Rafael and this is his favorite part of the week. He is truly fearless and with the help of his amazing coach, he will have the skills he needs to be safe in the water!

Coach Rafael has transformed my children into fantastic swimmers. He has taught them not only how to swim but how to swim properly- building techniques they will never forget. He maintains control with all kids in group classes and knows each by name (and how to teach by their individual needs). He also creates a learning environment where each child feels safe and has fun. As a parent, I feel secure to leave my children in his care and I am grateful for Alabama Swim School. My 3rd child will be joining soon!

I can’t say enough great things about Coach Rafael and Alabama Swim School! My daughter took lessons for over a year at another place and when I got her in the pool this summer she would not take off her swimmies. Within 2 lessons with Coach Rafael, she was swimming independently. She continues to excel and she loves it. Within 2 months of lessons, she is swimming the entire length of the pool. She looks forward to her swim lesson every week. Coach Rafael has such a passion for helping kids and it shows! We highly recommend Alabama Swim School! Don’t send your kids anywhere else!

Rafael is an amazing instructor who is very patient and has a heart for kids. The lessons are fun but at the same time teaching them the skills they need to learn. They have advanced their skills in such a short time that shows what great instructors Rafael and his team are. We visited several other programs before choosing this one and we chose it because Rafael is very personable but also has an amazing background in swimming. He knows every students’ name and is very approachable. I highly recommend AL Swim School to anyone looking for swimming lessons.
