My son Landon is enrolled at Good Child Transitional Care and we could not be happier. I was nervous about enrolling him in daycare as he had been home with me for his first year and a half. After enrolling him, he has grown in leaps and bounds. The staff is wonderful and very caring. They keep me updated on everything he does throughout the day. They've assisted in working to get him potty trained. They do crafts, educational games and outside activities. I highly recommend the center and all of the staff there.

The GCTC is a one-of-a-kind facility filled with much hands-on learning and many developmental opportunities for children from different backgrounds and needs. It is also an environment filled with compassion in which the staff goes above and beyond to make your child feel safe, healthy, and happy. As an educator myself who has worked in an early childhood center for years, I can assure you that this place is professional authentic, and takes all matters into accountability. The GCTC also makes sure parents and caregivers feel at ease with their impeccable communication.

Really love this place! My son was home for his first 2 years of life and around majority adults. We knew for his development it was time to expose him to children his age and be in a school setting. GCTC was one of the best decisions we could’ve made. My son transitioned so well! He’s been there since the beginning of July and now in September we genuinely see such a huge growth in development. He really looks forward to go to school everyday and loves his teachers (Ms.Dani, Ms. Ally, and Ms. Christina or as my son calls her Ms.Stina). The teachers are phenomenal and the staff are as well! Ms. Joann is a great director over the building. I’d recommend this place to anyone. I also love the exclusion of the location from the main road.

I’m sharing my experience with Good Child Transitional Center to give prospective parents an understanding of what to expect. Despite initial concerns about the school’s fit for our son, the owner assured us and insisted that this location was better than their Milford center. We later felt misled when we discovered the facility was newly opened and actively trying to fill spots.

The center is located in an aging commercial building shared with several office suites, and the neighboring nail salon often emits chemical odors that can affect sensitive individuals. The center appears under-resourced, with several staff members who have claimed they were underpaid, inadequately trained, and verbally mistreated by management and ownership. The playground is nice but quite essential, with limited space and equipment. Our child initially found the difference between this and the Bright Horizons playground next door frustrating. The basement play area is sparsely furnished with toys that our son occasionally reported as broken or missing parts.

From our observations of the "healthy and nutritious" meals, we mainly saw processed foods, including frozen and canned goods, which felt misleading compared to their advertised standards. Meals were prepared by his teacher, not "a chef," and the "professional grade kitchen" is, in fact, a basic kitchenette setup in their backroom.

Teachers appeared to struggle with managing overstimulated or dysregulated children, and we often played interception when they attempted to dart from the room during pick-up. During our time there, we only saw one state-provided ABA teacher who appeared to need more skills or empathy to help effectively. Training issues were evident in an incident leading to a staff member's dismissal, which seemed more a result of inadequate training than individual fault. Our efforts to address concerns were met with resistance and attitude, further questioning management practices. Miss Sara, our child’s primary teacher, was an exception to this review. She provided exceptional care and professionalism, making a significant positive difference despite the litany of challenges at this center. We have since found a better school, and given our experience and the immature backlash for daring to post a review,  I cannot recommend Good Child Transitional Center to other parents.

EDITED TO ADD: The center’s response was as predicted, with semantics, personal jabs, half-truths, and gaslighting that were later edited to appear more diplomatic. Attempts to discredit my honest feedback as a “personal problem” are a convenient excuse to subvert accountability and play the victim. I also find personal attacks from "parents" whom I've never heard of a great reflection of the behavior and lack of credibility I've mentioned in my review. These reviews were also edited after I called them out for their behavior. My "concerns" the center tried to weaponize were, in fact, directed at the inadequate communication about school closures, which led to issues with finding last-minute childcare. The employee's dismissal came into focus when we received an email about her dismissal, and I clarified that I respected their privacy policies at that time.

2025 EDIT: To add insult to injury, this "center" is illegally withholding our tax information after several attempts to contact their director. We've also checked with our previous home address, and they have not received any mail. I'd love nothing more than to never hear from these people again, but tax information is within my legal right to obtain. Regardless of their supposed 4.7 reviews, do *not* trust this center, their sudden glowing reviews that came after my post, or their owner's sales pitch when he attempts to push you in this center's direction. Go elsewhere. Any parent seeking additional info or examples from my nearly year-long experience, or proof from my emails can contact me directly.

Great center for parents whose children have autism. Ignore the negative reviews from upset parents because they’re 100% wrong about this place. DON’T BE MISLED. As someone who has never worked at this center, I can honestly say the best thing you can do for your kids is send them here. The staff have only ever been kind and considerate. They do everything in their power to make the children and families feel safe and secure in their child’s learning.
