This place is wonderful! My son has Don as a tutor and he is so good with him. Patient kind and understanding. We started in 4 months ago and the change we see is astonishing. We kept our son back in first grade as he was unable to read he hated to go to school and didn't think he was smart as the rest of his classmates were reading by end of year last year. And that's why we are here. The turn around is remarkable. He loves coming to work with Don and is more confident. He actually likes school now! I am so happy we found a flyer in a little reading library when school was starting. Otherwise he would still be hating school. The best part- his teacher has told me that he is really turning around she can't believe how well he is doing. Testing from the beginning of the year to the middle of the year he has skyrocketed her words not mine. And this week she told me he jumped two reading modules! My son finally feels smart and the happiness from that is priceless!!! Thank you community learning center tutor- you all are changing lives!!!

I had a wonderful experience teaching art to the younger children at the Community Learning Center. The Executive staff were very supportive of me and my ideas that I implemented with the children. It was a great environment to be in and honestly I had the time of my life! The children enjoyed the art assignments and I often had them show their art and tell their story about it. Communication is important at the school and you can tell that the students felt comfortable talking with their teachers and help was always available to them.
The school is buzzing with enthusiasm to learn and to teach.
I enjoyed working there and it was clear that the students there truly enjoyed being there to learn. My husband and I moved back to the Midwest but I have fond memories of my time there.

I had math tutoring with Ms. Debbie here and she was very patient, kind and helped me understand my schoolwork. I fixed everything I was having trouble with in about 10 hours. I highly recommend Community Learning Center to anyone who needs extra help in school.
