We had a great experience with Huntington Learning Center. My child’s score went up 160 points- from 1400 on his first practice test to a 1560 on the August 2024 SAT. I really liked the one-on-one tutoring focused on my child’s strengths and weaknesses. We did a tailored plan. They worked with our crazy schedule. Director Mike, the staff, and all the teachers were easy to work with. I have already recommended them to many of my friends.

We recently used Huntington Learning Center to help prepare our son to retake the SAT. We were very happy with the individual attention and review of the practice tests to focus on the specific concepts where he could concentrate his efforts. He was able to increase his SAT score 240 points (1330 to a 1570) which exceeded our expectations, and we would recommend their SAT prep services to anyone interested in maximizing their student’s prep time.

Mike and the staff at HLC were very accommodating and flexible with schedules- which worked well for us. My kids utilized HLC for test prep. They felt well prepared and confident going into the exam!

Do not use for HSPT tutoring! They overpromise, charge exorbitant prices, and underdeliver.

Michael told me that with the proper amount of tutoring my child could push her score up to the 90's. Suffice to say that did not happen.

We saw almost no change in scores, despite spending many thousands of dollars on tutoring.

Instead of admitting that what they were doing was not working, when questioned about the lack of improvement in scores, I was told that it was due to factors outside their control, such as fatigue during the long test, which is not true.

I will not be recommending this company to anyone.

I would give them zero stars if possible.

I highly recommend HLC for prep test (SAT or HSPT). It was successful for my learner. and she had less anxiety in preparation for the test. They were very supportive and flexible with scheduling.

Both our children successfully completed the program at Huntington and the experience was truly transformative. Michael, was such a delight to work with. He walked us through the initial assessment and the results. The center crafted a personalized program for each child tailored to fit their needs and learning styles and did a wonderful job tracking progress and milestones. They held regular meetings with us to discuss their performance and make recommendations. Everyone at the Huntington Learning Center in Alexandria is dedicated to the students' success and genuinely cares about seeing the kids reach their potential and grow as confident scholars. Sending our kids here was the best decision we ever made to bolster their foundation and support them along their academic journey. We're fortunate to have been part of this supportive community and are grateful for the everlasting and positive impact they made for our children. I recommend the HLC in Alexandria without hesitation!
