Alright, real talk: don’t go to college. I beg you. 🙏 It’s like paying for an all-you-can-eat buffet only to find out it’s just a breadstick and a bowl of sadness. 🍞 I spent years and a small fortune chasing a degree that got me a low-paying job and a mountain of debt. Meanwhile, everything I “learned” in class is available online for free—without the soul-crushing loans. 💸

1. The Moment I Knew It Was a Scam 🕵️‍♂️

One day, I found myself in a lecture where the professor literally read off slides I could’ve Googled in five minutes. 📚🥱 I paid thousands of dollars for that moment of enlightenment. That’s when I knew: college is just a glorified PowerPoint subscription.

2. The Marketing Scheme 🎯

Colleges market themselves better than any influencer selling detox tea. They promise “networking” and “career paths,” but it’s just awkward small talk and unpaid internships. 😒 Meanwhile, my friends who skipped college were learning actual skills online and stacking cash. 💰

3. Doctor or Lawyer? Think Twice 🏥⚖️

Doctors: Years of school, mountains of debt, and 80-hour workweeks treating patients who diagnose themselves on TikTok. 🩺😩

Lawyers: Even more debt and endless hours reading legal jargon that makes IKEA instructions look exciting. 📚

Both: Exhausted, overworked, and barely have time to use that nice car they’re still paying off. 🚗💀

Do yourself a favor and talk to some actual doctors or lawyers—they’ll look at you like they’re trapped in a horror movie. 👻

4. YouTube University > College 🎓📺

I taught myself high-value skills online, started landing clients, and soon made 10x what my degree-based job paid. Meanwhile, my college friends are still figuring out how to refinance their student loans without selling a kidney. 🛋️💸

5. The Real Pyramid Scheme 🏛️🤑

College is the OG pyramid scheme. They sell you on “the experience,” but all you get is stress, debt, and some highly questionable cafeteria food. 🍕🤢 Meanwhile, the actual valuable skills—like sales, marketing, or investing—you have to learn yourself.

6. Entrepreneurship > College (By a Landslide) 🚀

If you’re willing to work, start a business instead. I did, and it’s way better than any 9-to-5. Freedom and a decent income beat a fancy diploma collecting dust any day. 🌴🔥

7. To Everyone Who Already Went to College: It’s Not Too Late 🤝

If you already went to college, don’t sweat it—I did too. The key is realizing it’s never too late to pivot. Learn a high-value skill online, build a portfolio, and leave the rat race behind. 🚪💨

8. Final Verdict: Unplug from the Matrix 🔴

College might’ve made sense back in the day, but now it’s a glorified money pit. Unless you’re dead set on becoming a brain surgeon (and even then, think twice), invest in real skills online. Learn, earn, and skip the debt. 🔥💸

Before you sign that loan agreement, watch 10 hours of YouTube tutorials instead. You’ll save tens of thousands and probably learn more. Trust me, freedom is a lot better than a diploma. 😉🎓

Don’t allow disabled vets with handicapped tags to park in handicapped spots near the stadium. I was told at multiple lots it would be, and this no exaggeration , $1000 to park. First time I’ve encountered this after going to multiple venues.

This campus is a perfect mix between modern and old fashioned. Some things are spaced out, but for the most part you can walk to everything. The scenery isn't amazing but it's still beautiful. We went over the weekend so it was basically a ghost town, but I imagine it's busier during the week.

Not the biggest fan, probably because our tour wasn't good and it was extremely hot outside, but it was a nice school to take a look at and has a good reputation.

A Wonderful complex spread through out the town. But everything is still close together. The stadium and main campus center provides a view into the school sports history. Facilities are excellent for viewing sports. The living quarters for students are excellent and plentiful would various interesting locations.

If you need accommodations for anything and are at a satellite campus, they'll say they can't help because you're not on the main campus. It took 4 months for them to finally accept military immunization records. If you're working with a VA rep/VR&E counselor, it can be a very painful process. I tried for months to reach abVA rep wirh no response. I have emailed all military related departments, HR, DRC, enrollment, etc
This has been the most difficult and frustrating process. The only reason that I have stayed with UF is because of the academic recruiter at the Milton campus.
If you have to repeat this process each semester, it may be worth looking at a different college. This has been a very emotionally and mentally draining process. To the point that I'd rather withdraw if I need to repeat these steps every time.
