Charlie is an excellent teacher. Encouraging, well spoken, has strong communication and I love the stories he shares. Well worth the time and money. I would recommend this class to anyone and everyone even if you are already certified.

I have been bartending in an entry level position for about 9 months and was unhappy with the miney and progress I was making. I took the bartending class here. It was so much fun, it doesnt feel like a commitment, but a fun social activity. I learned so much and gained confidence. The day after completing the course, I went to work my shift and told my coworker I took this class. She let me take the lead for bartending that night. I mixed A LOT of drinks, made recommendations to the customers, chatted them up, and sold one customer two of my personal cocktails. I just had so much confidence and I made the most money in tips I had ever made there, about double!

I had a great time at the CT School of Bartending! The class was small, which was great! Charlie really knows what he’s talking about and I’m so grateful i had the opportunity to learn from him! He goes above and beyond to help his students succeed. I finished his class & a few days later- i had an interview and got the job i wanted! I highly HIGHLY recommend taking Charlies class if you’re serious about bartending! 10/10 would recommend 🥂

Just received my Bartending License yesterday. Charlie Oat (Instructor and Owner) is hands down the best of the best. Certificate easily attainable for those who need flexibility (week or weekend classes, you choose). The class is organized, professional, timely, thorough, and exciting all at the same time. Don't think about it another second, just call them and set yourself up for the next classes. It's affordable and unquestionably the best program in the state. Thanks Charlie, I'm excited to put my new skill set to work!

At first I was discouraged... I didn’t know if I could afford to miss a week of school, but after talking to Charlie he was able to enroll me in a class during my Spring Break; 5 days 7 (or so) hours a class. The class was very hands on and he offered extra pointers beyond the time we were given in the classroom, not to mention he helps you look for jobs that you feel you best qualify for with your TIPS certification. Also, if finances are hold you back from getting your certification, voice that to him! He offered me a payment plan.

Charlie has decades of experience in the bartending and hospitality industry and is well known in the area and all over the world for inventing the Irish Car Bomb drink. From his textbook to lectures to "the bar lab", it's easy to tell that Charlie is the real deal, straight from the get go. Material is easy to read, lectures are engaging and with the amount of practice time available at the school bar, Charlie makes it impossible to fail. I highly recommend this school to everyone that wants to learn from a creditable instructor.
