As a very non-traditional sort of ballet student, I found Thread City Classical Dance to be extremely supportive, welcoming, and encouraging for my unique needs. As an adult ballet enthusiast who identifies as transgender female, I found it very difficult to find a school that could accommodate my desire to learn ballet in an inclusive environment that was appropriate and respectful. I found the school director and staff to be very helpful and supportive. I found the school to be very inclusive as well and respectful.

In joining Thread City Classical Dance, I found something like a second home, where I was free to learn ballet in a nice, clean, professional, and supportive environment, with classes that meet my budget as well as my schedule. I love that this school is a non-for-profit parent and student co-operative group determined to provide affordable dance instruction to all students in a variety of dance styles and genres. I found an Adult Ballet class that challenged me and still challenges me, but in a nurturing way that encourages me to expand my comfort zone, build on my confidence, and always stoke my passion to learn more.

I highly recommend this very family-friendly, family-oriented school and organization. This school is very community-oriented as well and I am sure you will feel at home as I do and feel like a part of a dance family.

TCCD is a growing dance school with great teachers and affordable tuition. We really enjoy the friendly community environment and the excellent ballet instruction. My daughter has been dancing with the Ballet instructor, Miss Amy, for almost 5 years. She has learned very fine technique. She also has taken tap, modern, and jazz with Miss Alana. The school offers classes for little ones all the way through adult and has an open and inviting atmosphere. If you’re looking for a high quality, affordable dance environment, you should definitely check out TCCD.

Wonderful dance school. My daughter danced with Miss Amy this past year and really improved her ballet technique while still enjoying a low stress atmosphere. Miss Amy is very serious about the art of ballet. Price was very reasonable, the show was wonderful (and under 2 hours), and I didn't have to pay for any expensive costumes or competitions. Highly recommend this dance school if you want to avoid the stereotypical dance mom experience.
