I don’t know what that lady is talking about but clearly she was upset things didn’t go her way.

My son was the first one to start at Mountain View Learning and it has been amazing. The communication, the respect, the time, affection, care, and everything has been extraordinary.

This is my 3rd child, 16 year old, 8 year old, and now my 7 month old, and trust me this has been the best care I have experienced through the years. I have 2 of my children in their care and they both are beyond happy when they see Ivette and Ryan. They do so many hands on activities, they’re on a schedule, everything is very educational and the kids are cared for like they’re family.

Sending pictures of the baby’s genitalia’s to the parent because you brought him to daycare like that is a must. 🙄

The kids weren’t alone when they were discussing whatever matter outside. Maria was inside with the other children. Please don’t let one 1st time paranoid, entitled, paranoid parent change your mind about this amazing home care.

Do not trust these people with your child.

Poor judgement: For some reason, Ivette thought it was a good idea to text a diaper change picture of my child where his genitals were exposed.

Poor communication: They sent my child home with a deep and actively bleeding cut without saying a word about it during pickup. They only admitted to cutting him while clipping his nails when I texted to ask what happened.

Poor business practices: After signing the contract, they refused to give us a copy, delayed sending the copy multiple times, eventually sent over altered versions, and finally gave us a doctored copy of the original (which has been defaced with whiteout) because they decided they weren't happy with the terms they set just three weeks prior.

Poor character: When I asked them about it, both Ivette and Ryan were incredibly rude, hostile, and argumentative to me while I was holding my son. Ivette was literally snarling. It was trashy. Their argument about reneging on the terms of the contract boiled down to "if you don't like it, you can leave." Did I mention they were both outside arguing while they still had kids inside?

Ivette and Ryan showed us their true character. We had previously seen only glowing reviews. Seeing who she really is was a massive disappointment, but I'd prefer to know who I'm trusting with my child. Look elsewhere.

Edit: Take note that their response doesn't refute my review at all. That's because there's nothing to refute. You can see the pictures of the deep cut and the defaced contract on Yelp.

I had a horrible experience at Mountain View Learning LLC.

On 8/24, I signed a contract for part-time care. The hours on the price sheet were listed as 7:30-1:00 (5.5 hours) for a part-time schedule. While sitting in the dining room to sign the contract, I asked if instead of 7:30-1 Monday thru Friday we could do 9:30-3 Monday thru Friday. It was still 5.5 hours. Ivette and Ryan readily agreed and those hours were listed on the contract which we both signed. Ivette mentioned multiple times how she was “flexible and accommodating” and willing to do those hours. I was very grateful. At the same time, I requested a copy of the signed contract for my records. I was told I would get it at drop-off the first day. I never did.

After the first day, we discovered 9:30 was a bit too late for drop-off. So I requested to amend the contract to 8:30-2:00 (still 5.5 hours). Ivette agreed both in-person and via text.

Later, My work hours expanded so I reached out to enquire about extending my hours.
I also wanted to review my original contract terms and I again requested a copy. I was told I would have it in the evening. A day came and went with no contract copy.

Instead, I received hostile texts and emails stating that either my hours of care were changing from 8:30-12:00 (not even 5.5 hours as stated on the original price sheet) or I would only receive three days of care. I was bombarded with texts and emails that all claimed different things; timings were off, days were wrong, etc.
I once again asked for a copy of the contract. I once again was ignored.
In her last email, Ivette claimed that on the day of contract signing, we left the days and times blank. That was a lie. We all sat at a table and filled out the contract stating 9:30-3:00 Monday thru Friday.

I still offered the benefit of the doubt and requested to meet with Ivette to discuss the contract and hours at her convenience. She cancelled our first meeting. The second time she cancelled citing “other commitments”. Note, these meetings were set up at her convenience at a time picked by her - in the evening after the kids had left. It was clear she was avoiding us.
At this point, I still had no contract copy and I felt insecure about my childcare.

That afternoon, I went to pick up my child and finally had a copy of the contract… the catch was the signed contract had been altered!!

That’s right -the legal contract was altered after both parties signed. Ivette had used white-out to hide the days and times (M-F 9:30-3:00) we had all signed!!! It was clear she was unhappy with the terms and wanted a full-time family and full time payment rather than our part-time set up. She took matters into her own hands by whiting out a signed contract.

When my husband asked if white-out was used on this legal document, Ivette flipped a switch. She aggressively snarled at us, bobbed her head and said “That’s my program! If you don’t like it, you can leave!!”. She and her son were hostile towards us in the presence of our child while other children were inside.

A contract is put in place to support and protect both parties. Altering it in such a hostile manner puts families at risk.

The rub is - if she had met with us and kindly informed us how the current contract hours were not financially feasible for her, we would have understood and probably would have switched to full-time and signed a new contract. Instead, she unnecessarily caused our child and our family grief and stress.

We gave the benefit of the doubt multiple times to Mountain View, but the hostility, continued poor communication and purposeful altering of the contract broke our trust. I want my care providers to share my values of kindness, honesty and sincerity and Ivette and Ryan did not demonstrate that.

I am not entitled or paranoid. I simply requested a contract be honored or if could not be honored, to be told respectfully and kindly.
