I love Bluff Point, it is one of my favorite places to hike/walk in general. Its very beginner friendly as it has a long stretch of paved road and then very wide and even path. Its a simple loop that's straightforward to follow with little opportunity to get lost. Being right along the water it has some gorgeous views, including an overlook at the apex of the loop. The hills are minimal as well, and if you stick to the main path there's no scrambling. There's also a nice picnic area by the parking lot. I go here as often as possible, its great in every season!

What a gem! Not crowded and plenty of breath taking scenery along the path. Path is well maintained and mostly flat with some small hills.

There are some picnic tables as well as portapotties near the parking lot.

It was a sunny day. What more you want in such a vast place. You can do a whole lot of activities here- from hiking to fishing to swimming and of course to arrange a party as you will have a lot of tables and barbecue grills. The hiking trail is too lovely but it can be a little muddy in places, in case of rain. Seaside is Rocky too. Hence, a good pair of shoes are recommended. You will have beautiful views of the Poquonock river at the beginning of the trail. Then it goes into the forest a bit. At the end, The bluff view is amazing. We saw some people swimming but I dint notice any lifeguards. Due to dense forest and waterbody , there are a lot of plant and animal species including various types of birds. Will come again in fall season.

It was a beautiful day. The trail was a little muddy in places, but that was to be expected given the rain. There were some nice views at the beginning of the trail. Then it goes into the forest a bit. When you finally get to the bluff, there's really amazing views. There was a group filming something, but we had a few minutes to enjoy the views. It's not my favorite tail, but there are other trails to explore as well.

The best of every world. Thick, north eastern woods, easy footpaths, less traveled offshoots, historic landmarks and seashell dappled shores. One of the most beautiful paths I've walked.

Beautiful hiking trails, nice little beach about halfway through one of the loops. Rocky and filled with shells, but still able to throw a towel down and be comfy while enjoying the scenery and weather. Would recommend shoes on the beach though
