Greenwich Kempo is a wonderful, caring place with superb instructors that genuinely care for their students. While all of the instructors have been fantastic, Jon has been standout in so many ways. He takes his time to teach the students valuable lessons. Wonderful guy, great place.

Greenwich Kempo has been integral in helping my kids learn and grow both as martial artists but also as people. My kids are learning compassion, strength, honesty, discipline, and confidence. All three senseis bring a balance to the dojo that helps kids find a home here. Each child feels seen and is treated with kindness and respect. This in turn teaches them to reciprocate these qualities.

We recently joined Greenwich Kempo, a martial arts school located in the heart of our town. Our decision to join was inspired by our desire to learn self-defense techniques and improve physical fitness. Little did we know that joining this community would not only benefit us physically but also mentally and emotionally.

From the moment we stepped into the dojo, we were greeted with warmth and enthusiasm by the instructors and fellow students. The positive and supportive atmosphere was contagious, making us immediately feel at home. The instructors at Greenwich Kempo are not only highly skilled in their craft but also exceptional teachers. They patiently guide us through each technique, breaking down complex movements into easy-to-understand steps.

One of the aspects that sets Greenwich Kempo apart from other martial arts schools is its emphasis on personal growth and character development. They believe true martial arts mastery extends beyond physical prowess and encompasses mental and emotional strength. Through their teachings, we have learned valuable life lessons such as discipline, respect, and perseverance.

The training sessions at Greenwich Kempo are intense yet incredibly rewarding. We have noticed significant improvements in our physical fitness, strength, and flexibility. The rigorous workouts push us to our limits, but with the encouragement of our instructors and fellow students, we find the motivation to push through and exceed.

They make you learn while having fun without feeling overwhelmed. They also give a more family feel. After a long day of work, the last thing you want is to walk into an action class without tenderness.

I decline past 6 p.m. For me, to enjoy the class means it’s a welcoming place.

My daughter started at Kempo Academy when she was 4. I have watched her grow in discipline, skill, poise, and awareness. She loves her classes and attended the karate camp last summer. When she received her purple belt, I decided I would give it a try. Sensei Simon invited me to trial a few classes, and I found that I couldn't get enough. He and the staff are highly skilled in their ability to reach students, young and old. Their breadth of instruction ranges from practical to intellectual. Kempo Academy is a wonderful part of our community and I am happy we can be a part of it.

Amazing place. We've tried other dojos, but this one motivated my son like no other. The entire staff knows each kids' struggles, strong points, and how to get in their heads and make them WANT to grow in the martial arts. It's amazing to watch. They're so good, I joined too!

Words cannot properly express how highly I think of the instructors at Kempo Academy!
They cater to each child's individual needs and somehow are able to give each student the proper one on one attention they need to excel even in large classes.
This class has helped my son focus his energy while allowing him to be himself and have fun!

If you're looking for martial arts in the Greenwich area, I can't recommend any other group more highly.

Of all the studios we visited before making our selection, Sensei Simon and his team offered the most professional, thorough, attentive and positive approach.

While I can only speak to the experience for my son, age 6, he loves it and I can see that it is bringing positive impact to his life.
