It has been an honor and privilege to be a student at the Sensei Varasconi School of Self defense for the past 39 years. Each class has an extensive workout, learning a defensive technique and sparring. The instructors are more than excellent and they care for every single student and their family that comes through the door. The training breeds confidence, discipline and respect. Just do your best. You won’t remember everything that is taught to you but you will remember how great you feel and how the instructors made you feel as you leave class. It is a must for the entire family. Highly recommend it - come on down and try it out.

The Sensai Varasconi School of Self Defense is run by Grand masters Sensais Tom and Bob Vasasconi. This is an exemplary place to learn the martial arts regardless of age or ability. Their classes provide training and learning to increase strength, flexibility, awareness, mental toughness, etc. Their classes are accommodating of any injury or learning disability you may have. Giving you the best chance to learn self defense and earn your belt rank at your pace. As someone who enjoys a challenge, Sensai Varasconis provides that level of training. This is the first and only martial arts school I've attended in my life, and I couldn't see myself anywhere else. I strongly recommend Sensai Varasconi School to anyone interested in and considering learning martial arts.

Sensei Varasconi's School of Self-Defense, branch of Sensei Hamzy is second to none. You will not find better instructors than Sensei Tom Varasconi and Sensei Bob Varasconi. It doesn't matter what your age or skill level is, you will be respected, allowed to work at your own pace, not pressured to sign any lengthy contracts, and be able to obtain self-defense skills, flexibility, and endurance within a family oriented workout environment. Under the guidance of Sensei's Tom and Bob Varasconi, I have witnessed everything positive written about these men and their approach: skill building, respect, discipline, love for their students and hard work. Great school teaching practical self defense as well as self respect, safety and discipline. Sensei Tom and sensei Bob promote a family friendly atmosphere and they are great with kids of all ages. I have trained with them for over 20 years. My wife and children have also attended classes here. There are no contracts which makes this a great place to try and see if it's something you will enjoy.

Sensei Tom and Sensei Bob Varasconi provide training that absolutely makes for some of the best workouts I have ever taken part in! I am a former Division I college athlete and love a great physical challenge. Their classes provide just that..BUT...they also have the ability to train people from all backgrounds and skill levels..Classes are designed to allow students to work at a pace that is comfortable for their skill level. While you are improving your physical health you are also acquiring practical skills that help you in everyday life as well as critical situations. Sensei Tom and Sensei Bob Varasconi have been teaching/running their own school for more than 37 years. They are grand masters and graciously share their amazing abilities with their students each class through superb instruction. I highly recommend them for anyone who is considering giving martial arts a try!

I wanted my kids to have something to do during the summer so signed up with a Groupon deal to see what self defense has to offer. I had no problem reaching one of the senseis during hours of operation and they made the whole process pain free. The fellow students and black belt senseis are very welcoming and proved to be a great school to reinforce self discipline, mutual respect, and core family values. My kids liked it so much, they have earned their white belts and decided to continue through out the school year as well.
