If you don't like super busy gyms then this Y is for you. The staff is super friendly and the facilities are very well kept. I like the fact that it's not a huge building and it has a family feeling. I loved the one on one training they gave me when I first started. Super cool.

Pool is filthy. Pool deck is very slippery and dangerous (I fell carrying my newborn). They have a wheelchair lift for disabled individuals to get in and out of the pool, but no elevator access and your options are to 1) go down a full flight of stairs in a wheelchair or 2) go down into the emergency exit with several steep stairs and have someone disable the alarm. The staff are rude as well and behave as if they are incredibly inconvenienced to be asked a question. I'll never send my kids to this dump again.

A little outdated but staff is really friendly. They have a good price for families but I'm thinking of leaving. The open swim for families is only for very limited hours. Pretty much during school time. It is open till 5 but most parents work till around then so how can families actually go swimming. When. I brought this up their only response was, you can go to Wallingford

My favorite thing about this YMCA is there vacation Club. On days where there's no school, your kids can go on a really cool field trip someplace they wouldn't normally go. last time they went to the Bronx Zoo and to the USS Intrepid museum for two of their vacation days. They also have a great summer camp with a huge campground with pools and an all-around great facility. Highly recommended if you have kids.

Attempted to enroll my son into this camp. Staff was unresponsive in the enrollment process. Visited the site several times, no one was ever available to answer my questions. Left several messages, they were unanswered. I needed to select another camp since the school Year was ending . Called to tell them but no one was available on several occasions. I noticed a withdrawal from my account 2 weeks prior to the start of camp. I had to make a stink and involve my lawyer to get my money back. YMCA wasn’t willing to return my money even though it was their error. I got the run around for weeks. I’d never sign my child up here, especially if this is any implication that he’d be mistreated based on how we were treated during admissibility.

I am still waiting for them give me a refund. If you get into any of their classes be aware that you wont be able to cancel unless it is a medical issue. Although I told them that I could provide a medical document they still have not yet reached to me to provide me with a refund. Never again will use another YMCA facility.

Even when they say they have lap swim (which is only one hour) they often don't have lap swim. What's the point of paying so much for a membership? You can buy a treadmill and weights for the cost of a few months here.
