I had the pleasure of visiting HQ and operating W1AW in September of 2022. If you are an Amateur Radio Operator I highly recommend you visit The Hiram Percy Maxim Memorial Station. This is a great time and it is a dream station for a lot of us hams. 73, DE WU2M

This was a really fun stop on my journey around the northeast. I'm a ham radio operator, and for anyone that has their license it's a great time. They allow you to operate their equipment. You'll get a tour of the facility. The staff were really nice and knowledgeable. Great time!

It's the mothership of amateur radio. If you have any interest in radio whatsoever, you need to do the tour. I've been a member for years and the ARRL really believes in generating interest in the hobby. A tour of the building and of course W1AW is a must to any person that loves the magic of throwing a wire in a tree and talking to a new friend 1000's of miles away.

I had the most interesting tour of the headquarters and museum. got to use the w1aw station. well worth the visit. the volunteer tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable.
