The day I was excepted as a US Pain Foundation Ambassador changed the way I perceived myself and my pain. I live with disabling high impact chronic pain and I have undergone 24 surgeries and I’m only 50. Becoming an Ambassador and Advocate gave me more than just up to the minute information on all the new legislation it gave me credibility. Not just with all my doctors but myself. I became very successful at a very young age but due to severe Crohn's Disease and as well as many other diagnoses related to Crohn’s left me disabled at the age of 41. I lost myself in my pain. But I found myself again as an inspiration to other pain fighters as an advocate. I became a pain warrior instead of a pain worrier. I have started my own support group and I feel like I have purpose again. Thank you US Pain Foundation

I am one of the volunteers for US Pain Foundation and I think I can address the treatment and concerns of the first reviewer here. I'm so sorry for your friend and that you haven't had an answer from your messages. But the listing on Google makes it seem as if this organization is a storefront with many staff to help people with pain. That is not the case at all. We are many volunteers throughout the country who have pain ourselves and work for more awareness of chronic pain through social media, going to state capitals in regards to legislation affecting those in pain and organizing speakers for events who can talk about pain experience and issues. Again, I am so sorry that your experience was so terrible but perhaps, as even our founders are people with pain, something got lost in getting back to you. So that you know: I have intractable pain like your friend and I am doing all I can to let the public know that not everyone looking for pain relief is "FAKING IT TO GET DRUGS." We are those who are desperately seeking relief and - for the time being - are often helped by opioids when no other OTC analgesic or supplement has given relief. Mine is one voice and that is what the U.S. Pain Foundation actually is: A place where one voice is joined with many others and hopefully, together, we can be loud enough to make a sonic boom for the suffering millions.

I have left three message and written three emails to this AWFUL and DESPICABLE organization on behalf of a friend of mine who is suffering from unfathomable pain and they have not gotten back to me in SIX days. When you call their number, it goes right to voicemail. Think twice before supporting this organization.

In order for those suffering from chronic pain to survive the war on drugs it is important to support these types of foundations. The more pain patients that support these organizations, the more of a voice pain patients have.
